ok this may be the most retarded thing you have ever heard, but i have been sitting here for hours reading the forums and searching the web. I just recently downloaded MQ2 and have it running with the little icon in the system tray.
I have no idea how to start using the MQ2 commands and start doing things with them. How do I start using the commands? I see folders in like MQ2GMcheck, MQ2map, etc, but have no idea how to execute these things. Help a guber out would ya?

Well, it really depends on what You want to do, those plugins in the MQ2 folder do certain things such as MQ2map, it offers things such as /mapfilter npc /mapfilter pc, and when you type those, it will toggle the showing of either Npc's shown on the map or pc's depending which you type, there are many more commands as well, you should check out the MQ2 manual for descriptions on the default plugins included, and also there are very good directions on the forum for the additional plugins included in the redguides compile, currently Jigs21 is handling that so you can see his post for those.

and go here for the MQ2 manual, http://www.macroquest2.com/includes/wassup/manual.php

start here in the guides section

Many of us have written guides on how to get started with mq2

I like to call it INFANTRY proof.... when you write a guide you write it to the lowest possible level .. for us in the military thats infantry 8-)

this worries me... that maybe you DL the source and not the compile.

There are 2 ZIP files on the thread.... Unless you are compiling your own stuff... which i doubt you are

You need to ensure you did not get the zip that says source....

after you have done that and read the links above...

Ask your new questions 8-)
