The new Kiss 9 Melee Feature disables MQ2Melee completely and controls all skills, discs and AAs

I need help with the monk DPS section since I know very little about them.

Here is my initial DPS section I am testing on a 100 Lv monk Feel feel to comment on it and why.

Also need ideas for 105 lv monk for when i get there.

Remember DPSOn=2 will cycle thru and use the Disc,Skill,AA in descending order and does not use mob health.
If its not ready it will try the next

Lol you can still use MQ2Melee if you want. This just allows to fine your melee toons a little better instead of relying on plugin faceroll.

Awesome, one of the big reasons I don't use kissassist is because of mq2melee, I hate that particular plugin. I am curious as will be others, will KA use something similar to the holy/down shits?

I love the monk but my main is only level 95.

I almost never use the Eye Gouge because it has the same timer as Crippling Strike. My monk is often the only class in my group that can snare.

I usually use my monk to pull, so I save Vigorous Shuriken for pulling with the Echo of Confusion line of disciplines.

I wonder sometimes how much dps I lose by not using Eye Gouge and Vigorous Shuriken in combat, probable not enough to make me change my style of play.

I main a monk and I am on the fence about how this is going to turn out. I really despised having two INI's I needed to make sure were set up correctly, but now that I'm used to it I'm like every other user that hates change.

I would use Stunning Kick over Eye Gouge unless you need the debuff from another. I would also use the pet spell over the DD. (although, I might notice that being sweet from having a bard in my group ...)

I also spam Zan Fi's Whistle and save DMS until ZFW is off and on cooldown.

Phantom Partisan and Zalikor's Fang share the same timer (16).
Synergy and Sting of the Wasp share a timer as well (8).

My comments on those: If you were asking me, I would say never use Fang or Sting. I don't know anyone that even uses Sting, personally, but I do know folks that choose Fang over Partisan - I have honestly not parsed the difference with or without a bard (pet flurry from bards is probably a huge helper for Partisan)

Stunning Kick and Eye Gouge share a timer (I have no idea why, since they're AAs, but they do). Stunning Kick will always be better for DPS.

A problem with incorporating Fists of Wu into the DPS section instead of the Buffs section is that fights can outlast one cast of the buff. The opposite problem is if you're just constantly triggering it in a rotation, you're blowing tons of endurance casting it when it's still got plenty of time left. I don't have the perfect solution, but I just stick it in my buffs section and it's permanently up. This does cause medding to take longer when I am LoE, though. Trade-offs.

Drunken Monkey is a toughy, because you can't trigger it while a disc is running, but you definitely want to keep it up as much as you can (it's on a 30s cooldown so you can't crush yourself too bad like with Fists of Wu which has like...no cooldown at all). I got nothing on that. I manually trigger it and if my monk is AFK farming he just doesn't use it.

Other than that, I think you're on to a solid grinding rotation. When you get to setting up burns, well...good luck :P Toots has an important comment on that, in that monks have a lot of abilities that should be hit simultaneously to maximize burn effectiveness. However, that link he posted is outdated (and it's also wrong, you don't lead with Speed Focus, that's just silly)

EDIT: Oh yeah, keep Zan Fi's Whistle up as well!

It's ridiculous how much my monk's DPS jumps up when partisan is hit. I'm pretty sure it's from bard song, but it's ridiculous.

I lead with Speed Focus because group (I don't raid, mainly just a group to do stuff with and parse stuff for PEQ, although I do more playing than parsing) named don't last long enough to use another disc, and it seems to give me the biggest increase.

Great tips so far increased my monks dps from like 13k to 20k.

Posted new Complete ini file

Just finishing a monk as one of my toonsByraz and omg they do SO MUCH dps! I want to keep the tail raking little bastard!

I didn't think the dps was very much yet but my monk is only 102. So hopefully will get a big boost at 105.

Compared to the zerker though all the other classes aren't even close.

I can help with monk testing I have monk rogue ranger as my melee toons I want a zerker but waiting until I get me a bard -

my ranger seems to be doing well at 101 - averaging decent dps

and my rogue they both seem really decent - arx raid geared max aa and 105

- - - Updated - - -

only toon that I have that blows donkey dicks on kiss is mage -

More input on the updated ini file:

1) You should have Master's Aura if you're 70+
2) Buffs3=Seventh Wind|End|40 and Buffs4=Rest|End|20 are on the same timer (12).

Wind and Rest are two different lines on the same timer, and the difference between them is very important.

First, you should have Breather if you are 102. Same line, higher level version. Second, the Rest line is the line of endurance abilities that Monks covet. It is a critical line. It is also something you probably won't want to implement in KA. You are not allowed to regen endurance above 20-25% with this line of discs (depending on which level and rank you have). So if you hit this and sit down at 0%, you will not regen endurance beyond that 20-25% threshold until the buff fades. However, for manual monks this ability is why they never actually run out of endurance. Monks can clear agro and pop this whenever they want, using Imitate Death and then busting this out This allows them to keep regenerating Endurance at a super high rate WHILE they are fighting and below the threshold (20-25%, once again, depending on level/rank). This is a critical ability for raid monks. Absolutely imperative for raid monks to know how to utilize this. If you wanted to work on a super Monk mode you would want to disable medding entirely and have it continually clearing agro or popping the Rest/Breather line between pulls (2 minute cooldown).

For the purposes of a general macro, the Wind line is what you would want to use as it is just a general endurance regen boost.

Side note: I am not sure how well that rotation will continuously keep Flying Kick down if a monk pops the Heel of xxx Disc. End game, the Heel line makes Flying Kick recycle in under 1 second, which means SPAMMING flying kicks if you're on top of it. So Kiss would need to continuously cycle back through the list to Flying Kick in under 1 second in order to get the full effect.

AFnukemage = no more donkey dicks.... still testing it though, but its not bad... its no afnuke but it certainly has no dick's of the donkey in site....

AFnukemage.... now I'm drooling. I've always liked mages better then wizards, probable because I usually run a druid in my groups. I have a pair of wizards catching up in level to my main group. We'll see when they finally make 95 and get all their AA's.

you want synergy to fire before flying kick because it mods the damage of all flying kick attacks. you want to spam torrent of fists (lvl 104 ability). you want to use curse of the thirteen fingers (lvl 103) on named mobs only. for a bot monk, the case could maybe be made that you would just want to fire crane, five point palm (you will get aggro), balance, spire, infusion and dicho as they are available. that's not ideal, but bot monk is bot monk so ...

Flying Kick is pressed constantly every 6 secs so I went with stunning kick first then synergy but I can move it up and see if it helps. My monk will be 105 tonight so i am looking forward to getting the full capability of the class

You also want stunning kick to fire after synergy line is in for the FK boost. Last I checked Wu adds nothing at max level(I forget what expansion the break over point was). I also run eye of the storm all the time and click it off if I need a real disc for some reason. If things are firing in descending order I would run Synergy, FK, Stunning kick first. Maybe even throw crane kick in near the top since it's a bot monk(That way in theory you're not crane kicking something with 10% hp wah wah wah)

Ninja edit: I haven't played with the dicho disc at all, but I heard that is pretty impressive for teh deepz as well. Might take a peek at monkly-business for updated burn orders and such.

Technique of Master Wu? At max rank you can chain up to 5 special attacks. At least grepping my logs

The spirit of Master Wu fills you! You gain 1 additional attack(s).
The spirit of Master Wu fills you! You gain 2 additional attack(s).

Pretty sure he's referring to Fists of Wu which originally modded double attack chance rate, but might not do so end game (I honestly don't know about this, would prefer not to find out it doesn't do shit at 105!)

Also the comments on Synergy first before any other kicks are spot on. I didn't even look at that.

Oh, that wu :P yeah that probably doesn't help PCs at all anymore (Double attack chance is skill + level which is then modified SPA 177 which is a percentage increase. Then SPA 225 (mostly brd/bst AA AFAIK) is converted into "skill" [base1 / 100.0f * 500] and added in after the end. Then a random number between 1 and 500 is rolled, so if the number adds up greater than 500 it's a 100% chance). BUT I have pets in my group, which it probably still benefits. And it's like no endurance cost.

Yeah was referring to Fist of Wu, not AA technique which is way better because now it only triggers the original attack pressed.. So, a wu chain from FK will only trigger multiple FKs instead of an FK, tiger claw, bullshit strike, maybe a tail whip. I am almost 100% sure that with Ferocity/skill level we are at 100% double attack so Wu disc doesn't matter.

Monk double attack at 105: 280.

Total SPA 177 from rank 6 of Ferocity: 24.

So: 280 + 105 = 385.

385 * (100 + 24) / 100 = 477.

Which means not 100% chance to double attack. Although you probably have at least 6 worn fero so you are at 100% :P

I also spam it because it doesn't really hurt my end and it probably helps my pets out :P (also, why do bards get 525 double attack skill from AAs!)
