I just got into 3D printing and I'm wanting to print out a couple statues I found in EQ. Specifically the ones that are on the island of Grik the Exile in Swamp of No Hope. Does anyone know how I could go about extracting them for the purpose of a print?

Printed that about a week ago. Took 10 hours and 24 minutes. It's not my work mind you. I have zero artistic talent. But turned out better than what my poor camera can properly show.

Dulak, I am interested in this as well and I do not have it saved but I have run across this question on a reddit from a few years back where JChan answered someone that she spoke to someone about it in thier studio and they did not have a proper way. She seemed to want to help. Could be smoke...or could be from the model files they use, could be too much reformatting/converting, that it doesn;t come out nice. If you search the DB forums I believe its still there somewhere. Seems best to make your own, but I have seen on some 3D print community sites they have low res polygon EQ items and characters there. pretty basic. I like the items you posted, very cool !

You'd probably have some luck with some of the tools used for the EQ Emu community. Things like the S3d Extractor or https://github.com/Zaela/EQGZoneImporter or https://github.com/Zaela/S3DModelExtracter -- or even the old tools: https://web.archive.org/web/2016032...chrsschb.com/EQModel_Viewer_ZoneConverter.zip

I'm sure they have some more modern stuff as well -- I know Spire can do model viewing. I don't know if Quail would help: https://github.com/xackery/quail

But I suspect the emu community has a lot more tools available that would get you most of the way there.

That was my thought exactly: find out how emu does it, or see if emu serverfiles can be converted so long as what you want isn't newer (idk how far past RoF if at all beyond it they've ever gone. When I had a personal emu server RoF was the latest for zones and mobmodels but quests were still WAY older)
