I don't see a thread on maxing out tradeskills while afk, can someone plz direct me? Thanks !

http://www.soc-music.com/mq2/ts.php.

You have to have macroquest2 working to use these. Everyone here should be able to get MQ2 working, and I won't stand it if you don't.

Unzip the following files into your macros folder (the one inside your release folder)

You MUST unzip common.zip to your macros folder or else none of these will work.

Ok, I am, as my title here indicates.....a cute little newb lol. Marco's are something new to me and I am not quite following what it is that I need to do here. MQ2...is this something I need to download and then once completed....I can then download these tradeskill files? Thanks for your help on this and sorry for the noobish type question....tis the only way we learn lol... :p

Of course, it's the only way to learn!

That's why Redguides exists, everywhere else I've looked is mean or rude to people just starting out. It's perfectly ok to ask, no flames or ridicule here. Aside from your title that is.

Yes, you need to get Macroquest2 to use these. It's a program that makes Everquest 100x more fun. It is something you download and then "compile", which probably sounds hard but isn't. If you have trouble compiling it, check out Zedmix's help thread:

http://www.redguides.com/community/showthread.php?t=29

If you have any problems at all or Zedmix suddenly disappears, ask me and I'll help you.

After you get MQ2 working, just "unzip" these files (using a free program like winzip, if you need help on that just ask) to a folder called "macros" in your "release" folder which is in your "macroquest2" folder.

Then while in-game, type /mac jewelcraft (or whatever the tradeskill file is called) and you'll be running the macro. You'll need to do a little set-up first but all of the instructions are found in the zip files, and you can always post here for help.

I tried the JC macro above last night in Abysmal Sea as the mac file suggested. Once I started it, it started buying the bar component endlessly until the plat ran out. Which part of the macro is broken that should be limiting the purchase to 20 bars so that I can fix it?

deleted link so no one mislead

Does anyone have a macro or would be willing to create one that would max smithing to 250? Say the smith is a tunare worshipping cleric, that way he could make mistletoe cutting sickles all by himself. Can anyone help me since I don't know anything about writing macros?

You guys did download the common.zip and extract those macros before the jewelcraft and smithing ones, correct?

No matter which one you're running, you need to extract common.zip first.

Also: Kool, those problems have been fixed and the offsets in that thread you linked are out of date.

Anyone have a link to a forageing macro i'm thinkin to mix it with my fishin to maxamize money made while afk

also any money makin places to fish your way to extra cash i did natimbi bit only scores 2pp after fishin supplies

The reason it does not work is because on the mq2 forums they posted the patch to resolve this issue... it involves recompiling mq2 however =/ Here is the patch that will make the tradeskills macros work. also, not all macros will take you to 250 skill.

These offsets were off in eqgame.h, that's why SelectedItem wasn't working (they were reversed).

Works with this:

Code:
#define pinstSelectedItem                                  0x8A74F8

#define pinstCItemDisplayManager                           0x8A7524

Heh, check the date on those offsets Ranik ;)

I believe the reason it's not working for some people is because they didn't extract common.zip first. I just tested jewelcraft and it's fine for me.

Taken strait from the MQ forums on afk tradeksills.... fix was as of dec patch...

Look in your MQ2 folder, wherever you installed it. Inside there is a folder named "release". Inside the Release folder is your Macro folder. Just remember to make a new folder inside the macro folder named "common" like the directions say or the macro's will not work. Personally, I started using these last week and since that point...
250 jewel craft
188 pottery
115 smith
190 brewing
180 baking

I could have had them higher, but each of those were done in a matter of hours not days and I am limited in play time. Awesome macros.

hello all well i did the afk skill things and found 2 problems with the smithing and the pottery they wont open the forge or the pottery wheels plaease tell me this is a mistake on my part and help me find the fix
Thank you
Darrell

simply, you need to get the sell.inc, packs.inc, buy.inc, etc that that macro #include(s) and make a new directory in your macro directory named common and put them there.

ok i got it fixed just copy all files to everywhere your baking or whatever is in and it will work(kinda stupid but not wure where i put original)

anyway can anyone make this simple i want to be able to tell it which to combine and it will do all combines as long as i have ingredients or i can plug in merchant names and loc's and components and it goes till i run out of money on toon

i'm combining for skill and sellable food beer-battered tuna pie

it is now broke again anyway you can make one that uses a ini file that can be inputed to like

Combo 1
{patty melt}
ingredient 1
so on and so forth

and then it searches if you have it if not it will go to a merchant that you specify and buys 40 or a number you specify

been tryin to make one of these for a bit but never work for multiple combines and now no longer works for any combines being i messed it up so bad

Just use this combine macro it helps me better than the other afk tradeskill macros

Combine.mac

#event OutOfStuff "Sorry, but you don't have everything you need for this recipe in your general inventory."

Sub Main
:Loop

:ClearCursor
/if (${Cursor.ID}) {
/autoinventory
/goto :ClearCursor
}

/notify COMBW_CombineArea CombineButton leftmouseup
/doevents
/goto :Loop
/return

Sub Event_OutOfStuff
/endmacro
/return

Overide wrote most of the tradeskill macro's that everyone is using. He is recently come back to eq and has stated that he will be updating the macro's when he can to get them to higher skill lvl's. I've not heard anymore beyond that or when he will have the chance to get them updated. As for if they are working, I used every one of them tonight to check and all of them are still working fine for me.

Alos another problem is that for most of the tradeskills in order to get to sertain lvls you have to use farmed items. some can be done with store bought but liek smithing and tailoring there are some some things that have to be farmed/ bazaar bought

I am also new at the Macroquest fun, just a question is there a certain zone you have to be in while running this program tried running it in bazzar it bought a flask and tried to run to a mob that wasnt even presant in the zone

Open up the macro file and read at the top. For example, baking.mac has:

This Macro works best in the Abysmal Sea since all the components are there.
| You WILL need to be behind Tylida Eraldi to be able to use this macro.

The tradeskill macros are no longer working due to the new merchant window. Macros will run up to the point where you need buy, then nothing happens.

i can get no macros that involve merhants to work, its the new trade window thats the problem

so the way these macros work is, you start them in game by typing /mac smithing for example and it starts to max them? does it buy components to make something or does it just plain start maxing ur skill?

well, if the macro's are working poperly, and forgive me for not checking to see if they are back and working with the new merchant window, all you have to do is make sure you are standing in front of the correct starting npc, start macro, walk away......

Look into the top part of the macro and it will usually always tell you which npc to stand in front of and in what zone. Most of them are for Abysmal, but occasionly other zones as well. If the macro is made correctly, it will buy items, go to the forge, kiln, etc...., do the combines till out of ingredients, go back to vendor and sell the items back, rinse and repeat.

Should be working properly with a new buy.inc, which I would love to post but it's in the VIP section so I'm not allowed to...

ok i did everything you guys have said and in type /macro jc and it does nothing same with others is there something im doing wrong i made a commons folder inside the marco folder and put in common first then the others and still wont work and help would be great

Is there anything in the smith macro needed to be changed in orfer for the new buy.inc to work? Also can u post a link to the thread where the new buy.inc is? And for those of us who are willing to donate for acces to the VIP forums can get the file?
