Guide - LS Mission - Heroes are Forged

I'd be curious to know how far away you can run a character targeted by an aura. Indefinitely? Does it leash? Do you explode if you go to far?

This is a very interesting strat. I like it in the sense that this seems to allow you to maximize DPS uptime. Send all 5 toons (besides your tank) to a ledge far away, both auras spawn, then sprint your tank to your group, turn assist back on, and continue burning boss while. I guess you might have to kite the auras a little bit towards the end, but probably not for long?
I think this is actually the ghetto strat haha but it worked. My dudes were all alive at end and yeah I kited him maybe 20-30 seconds? Slapped him pretty hard with burn button. I saved ranger group wolf for lich cause you kinda want that thing to die fast and was just smashing the assist/nav target. I think people tend to burn lich but if your group is stacked I'd recommend using mini burn on lich and big burn on Shalowein.

Once they fix the event, because now it has spells with same damage as raid: I would encourage ppl with no pets, full melee and having problem killing egg sacs to try to slow down the kill of blob until red aura spawns or the aura from the adds: theoretically, the mechanic, is about getting the debuff from the aura brom boss or add death, that debuff, if it exists on a long duration, which now it doesnt ([54419] Slippery Slime) should auto remove webbs, then letting you go in to kill the egg sacs.

Explosion is always conditioned by a player with debuff touching it, altho I firmly believe that the script is fucked up and the second aura explodes when touching it even if no debuff. That or the aura is reapplying somehow once first aura is despawned, refreshing the debuff on the second target, forcing the second chased guy to wait 30 extra seconds to despawn his aura.
The emote is:
Shalowain links the sounds of footfalls and heartbeats of several people to her musical magic. That music starts to form into a solid object that begins to move toward xxx and xxx.

1) Is there a timer for the debuff for Shalowains aura? I am not seeing any type of messages in log files. Any ideas how long it is before you can run into the aura? Update: This might be it? You stop echoing
2) How long after the debuff wears off to you have to run into the aura before it resets?

Update: 30 Seconds possible? but is that before you can run in? Or is that for when it resets?
25:58 Shalowain causes your footfalls and heartbeat to be heard by her music. That music starts to form into a solid object that begins to move toward you.
26:29 You Stop Echoing.

There is also this message:
26:38 A sound echo loses track of its target. Maybe thats the reset message?

2a) Is there a target for the aura's? Like aura_001 and or such ?

If this is how it reads: Its 30 second run, 10 second to run back in it before it resets.

and lastly...

3) Anyone generate a lua to handle all this yet? Do not see one posted yet but seems to me that someone would have knocked that down by now. :)

Thanks for help.
1) The auras spawn 10 seconds after the emote announcing the 2 target people. Emotes happen every 1:30. You can run into the aura once the debuff fades, that's 30 or 24 seconds based on server tick ([54428] Song of Calling or [54438] Song of Echoes)
2)By reset you mean new target or respawn? Doesn't think it happens, It'll keep following you. Probably that emote means that the debuff faded and now you can step on the aura to despawn. Anyhow, it's more than 10 seconds. The Aura will follow people with debuffs if not despawned.

Anyhow, this is the message from the dev on the beta forums explaining how the mechanic works.

She puts a debuff (Song of Calling) on people and spawns one add for each chosen. These adds called sound echos. These will move toward their given target, following their magical echoes. If these sound echos get close to their target while that target has a Song of Calling, they will propagate the Song of Calling to anyone other than their target that had it, causing their echoes to continue to chase them. They will also release their stored power (Sonic Boom) and disappear. However, if the target approaches their echo after their Song of Calling is gone, the echo will dissipate harmlessly after it propagates the Song of Calling to those that had it before, again causing their echos to pursue them again. Basically, you need to avoid the echoes until the Song of Calling runs out, then one of the targets should approach theirs to free them from the Song. Each should do that in turn until all the echoes are gone.

My question was not so much how big the explosion AE is, but rather if you can kite an aura to the other side of the zone (in theory) or if that triggers the aura to leash/re-target someone else, or just explode.

This is a good question. If there's no limit, then it's conceivable to just have aura'd people run to the end of the zone and hang out while the tank and healer beat down the boss. Or run far enough away that they can run back and add their DPS to the fight before the auras catch back up to them.

after about two days of trying to get soundproof the way i finally got it was keeping my sk on tank mode zoning everyone else out and bringing my shaman in and healing and dotting for a minute and the sk finished it off

Found a better way with no LEM's. Agro the boss where he spawns. Use your camp hotkey. Grab one of the two toons that got emoted and pause that toon. Now run that toon around the atrium while you burn the boss down. You will only eat one AoE instead of two. Makes it easy. If you want the achievement, yeah, make the hotkeys.

Got some Lua's I made for heros forge on shallowain, but you will need to import both of them into LEM- see below

-the secret to this working is to set your campradius on your melee and caster to 75
-before engaging the lich camp your toons by the forge
-engage the lich and use the assist key and burn him
-since the campradius is at 75 your toons will follow him around and he will go down quick
-when shallowain becomes active do not use come to me or chase during this part of the fight .. keep them on camp (assist) otherwise the Lua's will not work -
-camp has to be used before shallowain spawns because she emotes almost as soon as she spawns
-when the messages come up your toons will automatically go up to ledge and come back after 40 secs - just use flash and your NoS invul item if you have to - warrior can use fortitude to bridge this gap (had no issues as beast was healing my tank)
-just use burn and you are good to go
-have fun

I'm still having issues getting echo achievement. I tried running toons away but some how my tank is always needing to run. Just looking for a fail safe way at this point

Your tank has to be the one to get initial agro on shallowain .. if the tank does not .. there is a chance that the tank will get called to run .. heck ive tanked the mob on the ledge before hehe and dodged the aura

ledge going down to the grass area or the top ledge by mission starter?

actually this can be good if something else gets agro first, then no matter what the notes seem to spawn on shallowain for that initial emote which can make everything a lot easier, especially if a swarm pet has agro.
