Problem - LFS not found?

I apologize if this has been covered, but I searched and couldn't find a solution to my issue. I'm not 'new' here, but I definitely have limited experience with MQ and scripting in general. A few years ago I managed to get this running on live however this attempt was on an emu server. On fresh install of RedGuides client, and MQ install for emu. Load up 2 EQ clients and with MQ running, try /Lua run rgmercs. I get a popup from MQ saying: The script 'PackageMan.Lua' is asking for package 'luafilesystem' to be installed on your system from the macroquest repository as well as 'lsqlite3''

Clicking 'install' has some sort of program open for a flash of a second before closing out (I believe this is LuaRocks) and then there's a series of "no file" errors in MQ window from seemingly both the client folders and the installed MQ directory folder including .dll errors and .Lua errors and the script ends.

I'm sure I am doing something wrong here, but I can't seem to find a solution via search.

Try to screenshot the error (editing out personal and toon info if needed) if you can.

I see people asking about this mostly in the overseer Lua and trade skill next threads (would get links but I’m on mobile) so you might have some luck finding a solution there.

I think this was moved to this section, but this isn't an RGMercs issue I can really help with.

It was yes, cause it was related to using RGmercs. Figured you'd want to be able to give help for that reason. Lemme know if you want it elsewhere

TLDR: Skip to the bottom. I catalogued the process so others could know what to expect when everything is "working".

This weekend I finally found some time to take a look at this.

I first installed the MQ emu build directly from the website and wrote a quick test script that required LFS, and then lsql3 just for good measure. I successfully installed both.
I then installed a fresh version of VV-EMU using RGLauncher, and launched MQ using the launcher, and ran those scripts ingame again. Also successful.

When I ran the script, I saw this window, as expected.



When I clicked install, I saw this window, which remained blank for a few seconds.


Afterwards, I confirmed it in (my version of) explorer



Then... I came to search for this post to share my findings... and came across this gem instead.

So, I would advise you to follow that post, and hopefully, that will get you sorted (I would have long-since installed that on my PC).
If it works, all credit to Redbot and sputnik.
If it doesn't, it is uh... all kaen's fault.

Edit: Change pictures out to not show random emu names in the background =P
