Question - Level 100 Magician wants Cleric bot to heal her and her pet.

Heya -

I just got MQ2/Kissassist. I can make sense out of the *.inis I have seen, but I want to jumpstart myself with a level 100 Cleric bot.

That is, I will be playing the Mage and I want the level 100 Cleric to follow me around and help keep my pet alive.

From what I have read here so far, I don't see anything explicitly explaining that a healer will heal a pet. I assume you would have to identify the pet's name in the ini?

Anyway, if someone can get me started with a sample ini with a few explanations, it would help me immensely.

I believe when you run /mac kissassist , the person you target and then use /mac kissassist is considered the MA, so if you target the pet it will heal it. I haven't tried but give it a go.

Or you could use

XTarget Heal You can assign the healer to watch 1 XTarget slot for heals.
XTarHeal=0/1-10 - Off/# of XTarget slot to watch for heals.

I've been using KA for a while now and I don't know that it'll follow you around.

you can use the /follow command, but may interrupt your casting, kiss does not have a solid way of following a PC around and healing its normally used stationary. Next update will bring mage puller/pet tank.

Just have the cleric assist the pet as MA and /chase

/chase does work, but I have a lot of problems getting it to immediately re-stick once the combat is over, loot is done, buffs are checked etc. My melee DPS character doesn't have much to do and will some times take 1-2 minutes to go back to /chase mode.

I use chase a lot. Most of the time it works great it can get bugged if you move out of range when your boxes are casting a long refresh buff or looting.

I use to play my maintank myself and run around hunting. All my Kissassisting toons follow me around just nicely. Set ChaseAssist=1 and ReturnToCamp=0 and keep the ChaseDistance low.
And keep in mind your buffers need time to buff, which is mostly after a combat. So when ya move, first move out of ChaseDistance but stay inside Range to recieve buffs and keep an eye on map or look at your toons until you see all of em are chaseing you, once thats the case you can run whereever you want and they will be with you (mind obstacles tho).

As for Healing the pet, it has been mentioned, use XTargetheals or the pet as MA which I would not prefer, the ChaseAssist part keeps your Cleric close to the Petowner in any case.

/chase is a little buggy at times. Range is a big deal. If I get too far during combat, my toon will switch between targeting the mob and my MA. Same thing happens when I assist a pet.
