Looking for someone that'll help me set up kissassist. For some reason i keep reading it over and over but something isn't sinking into my thick head. I see that you have to set up char ini files and all everything in manually, just don't know where or how. I haven't used macroquest in a long time and im just trying to get back into the groove. So any help would be appreciated.

Sathious, I would first direct you to this posting here and if you continue to have problems, I'm sure many would be willing to assist. Additionally, once you have KA 7.0.2 running you could maybe start a new thread or post here for assistance as well.

Where are you stuck? Do you have it installed and need help setting your characters ini files up or do you need help getting it running?

I have mq2 downloaded and installed. Was already running for the map. But just foreign in setting up the kiss assist. Do i need to create and ini file and add it to the folder. if so where?

The first time you type /Mac kissassist into an EQ menu the INI file will be created. So next type /endmac and then go into the macroquest folder and look in the macros sub folder for the kissassist_too name.INI file. Open it in text pad and edit it. Check to see if its working by saving the file and typing /mac kissassist. You can start by copying some of the INI files from this site. What is your level and class?

Using the inis here isn't a bad idea, but if it's your first time using KA, I recommend reading the manual in the link pointed above and doing your own inis. It really doesn't take more than a couple hours. It may seem confusing when you begin using it, but just make sure you take the time to read everything and do at least one ini thoroughly.

At some point, you'll want a particular playstyle for one of your toons, you'll want to change spells and clickies, you might want to try a different toon pulling, etc.; there's tons of stuff you'll change and you want to make sure you are comfortable with manipulating KA. There are no inis that you'll set once and you'll never have to touch again, unless you're 100 with max AAs, all r3 spells and BiS gear. It's my personal opinion, but I think if you try to skip scenes, it'll make it worse and it might even ruin your KA experience to a certain extent. Therefore, I recommend taking your time, it's fairly user-friendly once you give it a shot.

The basics:

MQ2 is the tp tool that you need to launch.
KA is a very well designed macro running via MQ2.
The .ini files are what KA uses to load your characters configurations.
When you run /mac kissassist for the first time on a toon, like eqgeek said, you are basically telling KA that ''Hey, my paladin exists, make a file so that I can make him do what I want''.
Once that file is created, you'll want to configure your toons the way you would like to use them, and then, every time you use KA on a certain toon, it'll load its configs from that file(.ini) that you edited.
Plugins are basically extensions of what MQ2 can do.
To use KA, you will have to enable certain plugins, otherwise many functions won't work the way they are intended. All of these plugins are listed in the KA guide on this website.

He doesn't pull, Any clue as to why?

you dont necessarily need to add puller to the .ini

just /mac kissassist puller and it will pull

or /mac kissassist pullertank if its the tank who is pulling

Okay I got them pulling, Thank you. Now i'm having an issue. When my puller pulls more than one, my chanter mezzes them but then no one will attack or do anything they just sit there. They will kill the first one, but after that nothing, just keep getting the message that there are add(s) in the camp. but no one will attack. What am i missing?

using my 69 pally as my tank. should his role be defined as Role=Tank? or Role=Assist and assist the puller?

Tank but target the puller when you start the macro and he will assist automatically.
