Hello there :-)

looong time ago I used MQ with own macros to help with some botting while staying pretty stealthy and having recently returned to EQ, I got warned about banning rounds etc.

So I stuck with SEQ to have some overview about mob pathing...but believe it or not, Overseer made me shell out for MQ2 (braking fingers with conversions and assigning reminds me of the happy days of tradeskilling in 2001) - and now that I have a month of MQ2 booked, I wanted to try KissAssist, too - in my 4box group I'm heavy on melee which is not bad, but having the toons move all at the same time getting to the mob can be...telling.

I have fiddled around with the KissAssist INI as well as Mq2Melee settings, but I have been unable to reach this:
  • Once mob has reached assist HP%, check if I can attack it, if yes -> attack (don't face mob / move)
    • if you cannot attack (distance to attack < x) -> move once to reach mob/face, then stick to position for fight (don't face mob / move for this fight)
    • if you cannot attack (distace ok, but "cannot see" mob) -> face mob once, then stick to position/face for fight (don't face mob / move for this fight)
(this halfway emulates my current macro keypad style, and should be safe to watch)

Whatever I do, something always tries to /stick and/or /face the mob...

I have tried setting various states for:

FaceMobOn / MeleeDistance / UseMQ2Melee / StickHow & /melee stickmode

and always when I tried I got it, a mob that was a bit too far away got my toons moving. Thankful for any pointer!

Cheers :)

I'm pretty sure using mq2melee is going to make you stick to the mob.
Code:
stickcmd= This command takes a list of options that should be passed to the /stick command. e.g. "stickcmd=hold 15"

That's what I thought as well, I tried "/melee stickmode=2" in the cmdline as well as "UseMQ2Melee=0", no luck so far.

In the melee section in the INI file I typically use the following 2 settings that really help make the melee chars look less "botty" with all that snaproll and circle strafe stuff:

UseMQ2Melee=0
StickHow=Loose

Sometimes if I have used StickHow=MoveBack uw 50% loose

Try those and see if it gets you closer to what you're looking for.

I'll try that, thanks!

So, I have tweaked a bit, and this combo works for me:

CampRadius=20
ReturnToCamp=1
MeleeDistance=20
UseMQ2Melee=0
StickHow=I
FaceMobOn=0

Happy camper now :)
