Question - Kiss questions / New to MQ

Finally got fed up with autofollow and sprung for MQ2. Lots of resources out on the web for MQ2 but a lot of them are also out of date.
I only run a 3 box (SK,ENC,WIZ) with 2 rogue mercs and 1 cleric merc. Goal is to use the SK as the driver and have the ENC and WIZ assist to the point where I don't have to alt-tab to their windows.
So for my first baby steps, how do I set a macro on my SK to have the ENC calm a mob? I have regular EQ macros set up on the ENC and WIZ already, what would be the command be on the SK to use to have my WIZ nuke my target?

Make sure you check out > RedGuides New User Videos < these will get you setup with many of the fundamentals, and show you how to get kissassist working for your characters.

because once you have your automation of choice working, your wizard will just automatically start doing wizard stuff when it should be doing wizard stuff

the kiss video in the links shows you how to use our large kiss ini library as well - or you can build/customize an ini yourself.


there is also RGMercs if you want a more "out of the box" experience.

Ok, I used the default .ini files and modified them slightly. Can now get my ENC to nuke, send pet and single target mez automatically. Also my WIZ just keeps casting barrage at 80%.
ENC also casts mana reverb aura and I set the timer to 180 sec.

One thing I noticed is my ENC tries to cast Origin, I think when I start the macro. Not sure what that's about but probably something in the .ini file?

Maybe I can do more than a Gribbles HA now.

you would probably want to post in the kissassist support section and reference the ini you're using so folks can look at it

specifically for the origin thing change CheckStuckGem=1 to CheckStuckGem=0 in your ini

Cool, the CheckStuckGem worked!

I'm rolling around with my mains now SK,ENC,WIZ (level 103) and for fun I started MQ2 on my more casual toons SK,BRD,MAG that just dinged 54. I'm amazed at how efficient the ENC and BRD are when it comes to CC. Made my Gribbles run go from about 40+ minutes to half that time so I can get two uses out of Lesson now which rocks.

I have a 3rd set of toons, but only level 32 BST and DRU for now. I have a level 53 MNK that I am trying to catch them up to. Only problem is, no CC for this all leather group.

Never played with a PAL,RNG,CLR or WAR yet. I will read up on other suggested 3 box combos out there.

One question though, how do you get the bard to sing a clarity song in between fights? I entered my clarity song under her buffs but she's not cooperating.
Also not sure how to set a command to get my bard to calm something my SK has targeted so I just manually switch to her if I want to calm something.

Make sure you designate group roles, main tank, puller etc..

as an example /chase on once /mac kissassist % to assist (ex: 95%) Tankname (UselessPal) role (Assist) is active will follow and create a path to/behind whomever is the main tank and assist them at 95% mob health

Pro-tip: avoid setting assist parameters at 99-100...as it makes you look more robot like, if you have multiple casters/melee it's a good best practice to stagger these percentages so it looks like you're engaging them one at a time manually

Also most of the Kissassist logic and also plug-ins are dependent on these roles being assigned
