KA9 is clicking off discs in the "AE" window when you have more than 1 disc in there

I have a few different discs in my "AE" section that way incase I get two bad pulls in a row, it'll use a different defensive if the first is on cooldown and i noticed today with the addition of KA9 you made it set so it'll click off currently active discs to use a disc next in line.

Anyway we can get this changed back or an option for it?

That's a Maskoi question, must of been one of the changes he made for some of the melee classes.

After taking a quick look I don't see anything that is ending the current Disc before using the next Disc, not in the AE section or the Casting section. Unless he made a last second change I am not aware of.

I just checked the source in the latest build and there is nothing I can find that would be dropping a Disc to cast another, at least not in the AE code. There may an change in EQ or an issue in MQ2, but I didn't think you could trigger a disc while one is active. Did something in the game change?

That's why I am assuming it is removing the discs. It may happen outside of the AE code but i am not sure, i haven't fought a named yet to see.

I tried overwriting a disc manually and it didn't do it. The two discs I am noticing this with is Unholy Guardian Aura which it clicks off for Grelleth's Carapace.

I will see if I can replicate it and post back in a few minutes.

However, if I add in a bit of user error (which is gonna piss off the coders for sure) if I click unholy aura guardian disc or any disc then the bot goes to use a disc it WILL remove it. I am one of those crazy people who sometimes sits and watches his bots so hitting things from time to time isn't that uncommon for me.

Maybe since the bot didn't register the first disc going off (since I was the one who hit it) it will remove it to put up a disc of its own? A lot lesser of an issue now that I think it was caused by user error. I don't even think I will bitch for it to be fixed if all i gotta do is not click shit myself =P

Also, one of my bot tanks (different tank and zone than the previous issue) is having a bit of a spammy issue but it doesn't seem to be doing anything else fishy - http://i.imgur.com/Bt7hKtW.jpg (weird part is camp radius is set to 115 since im in a building) - she doesn't leave the camp though, it just spams that error


My deepest apologies if the original issue I made this thread for was entirely user error and a waste of time, I am sure some of us watch our tanks like me but it isn't that big of a deal imo if combining botting/play is what is causing the issue, i can settle on just one or the other.

I didn't see anywhere kiss cancels an active disc either. /stopdisc is the command and that's not in kiss anywhere.

I don't run many other side plugins so I am not sure what else could be doing it - perhaps I was hasty in making the post and inconveniencing the two of you. If it does happen to be user error, which it appears to be my apologies.


I'm gonna delete my mq2melee file and reload the plugin, even though i think it is disabled with ka9 that's like my only guess for what else could be causing it

Lurk, next time this happens can you grab a debug dump of this, I would really like to find out how that is happening and fix it.

I trashed my mq2melee file and it hasn't done it since so I would assume it was most likely something in there. It's strange though considering it hasn't done it before. Oh well, computers can do some weird shit sometimes.



I have a slightly different question, well I guess multiple ones along the same topic. When pulling now and there is a hill between the mob and my tank or a little bump I have noticed he gives up mid pull because he loses LOS on the mob that is on the otherside of the hill. Is there anyway to fix this without making an advanced pathing path? I can't always do an adv path since that'd take forever while running progression missions on my characters or HAs which is what I am doing now.

under pull try changing
MaxZRange=50
to

Mine is actually set to 145 and I swapped it to 100 just so I could say I tried that =P

I took two screenshots of the issue i am having with the pulling so maybe that can shed a little light on it:

my theory on what is causing it is the little bump in the ground next to the xulous NPC. I don't know what it used to do before this but I *think* it used to strafe to one side then trying to pull again though I could be mistaken. Either way, this definitely is a new issue for me. I took that into consideration and decided that I really didn't give a fuck. I'm more curious if someone would be willing to fuck with me because I left my name in a screenshot than anything. Only two of them are visible, others here have posted ingame names publicly to parcel kronos to for donations to macros they made, I figured if anything were to happen from a blown cover they'd have been the first to be banned.

In my personal opinion we shouldn't have to be afraid of posting screenshots of our characters and mq2 up, daybreak has already said it's allowed while attended inadvertently so just by having it up it's not a crime ;P

It's all about risk management. In the end what can happen, you lose an account and have to start over. It is after all only a game, an entertaining way to pass idle time.

Have you tried creating a mesh and using MQ2Nav? LOS pulling has its issues in hilly/rocky areas. LOS pulling has to check if the mob moves out of LOS while pulling. So you don't get stuck on something when the mob moves behind it. The difference here is you are moving, and as you move the mob goes behind the hill. It is the same situation to the LOS pull routine.

We put some time into the MQ2Nav pulling section a while back, and fine tuned the MQ2Nav pulling to pull in zones where there were a lot of obstacles.

I haven't tried creating a mesh yet because honestly that's not something i would be interested in doing for each of the progression zones I jump to and from. At least an hour a day while doing progression (which I already hate doing) I would also have to spend meshing zones considering some of the ones with more doodads are gonna take longer. I've meshed a few zones before KA9 to try and test out MQ2Nav and it all failed miserably for me, I asked for advice here like a year ago and most people said don't even bother it wasn't worth my time so I never continued learning it. Obviously I am sure you guys gave it more of the TLC I was looking for a year ago =P

While creating complicated nav setups is something that interests me, creating basic nav setups just to navigate 5 quests per zone isn't =/

Is there any way to disable the pulling temporarily during the times I am doing missions or in a zone I do not plan on spending a lot of time in?

The mesh file just needs to be basic. It is just needed for basic navigation. You should be able to just load the zone with MeshGenerator and save the zone. You only need to make mods if you have tricky terrain with lots of objects you can get snagged on. I used the city of bronze to do most of the testing, and used the default mesh that was generated.

I looked to see if there saw an easy way to mod the pull section for what you are asking for, and sorry to say that there is more to this mod than you would think. It would be easier to just create the default mesh files.

That's a bit of a bummer to hear but I guess it isn't that big of a deal considering all I really gotta do is move my bots around more when I start/stop them in progression zones if I am to lazy to mesh the zone.

Honestly, if you guys got Mq2Nav working to pull well enough in more "complex" zones that's an acceptable trade off for me. It seems that as the X-pacs go on there's less and less zones with "fields" so being able to pull in hallways/zones with some clutter would really open up a lot of possibilities.


Can I inquire how long you tested it for without having any wipes? Also if you did City of Bronze I am curious if you did the "city" part or the "field" part? I totally assume the city if you were trying to get an advanced nav path working. I got kinda demoralized a year ago when I was experimenting with the nav system but if you guys got something solid down that's awesome and it'll give me an urge to experiment with it a little again soon =P

The folder will be MQ2Nav in your MQ2 Directory. I did all my testing in the Fields. Navigation does not work well in the city, with out tweaking the settings quite a bit, plus pulling with navigation you have to very aware of mob placement. There is no way to tell the distance of a mob with navigation based on the navigation path, so distance checks are done as the crow flies. So you could have a mob 10 units away from you(behind a wall) and for navigation to path to that mob will end up pulling half the zone.. Using Navigation in a building is not the best of ideas, if closer mobs requires your puller to have to run past other mobs. That is why we added advance pathing to the picture. You have way more control with advpath

By the way we are not finished with advpath and KA, we already have a version that allows you to use multiple paths from your camp location. KA automatically finds all paths that begin within range of your camp location and finds and pulls mobs using the correct path. More about that later.

For areas with hills and rocks and obstructions to your LOS, the basic mesh and navigation works great.

I do like the idea of advpathing and all that it can offer and did so a year ago too. I'll have to set aside a few days to experiment to get the hang of it.

One final question, I noticed when I went into the revamped Crypt of Decay this morning I didn't have to change around my inis on the healers to lower the heal values. Did you guys switch something so it reads the TBM t2 zones different and does that automatically? Cause my healers aren't spamming their heals so I am assuming KA9 changed something =P
