Here is the way to do it;
Do a command;
/log on
(which saves a text log in your Everquest/logs directory under character
name.)
;t
Firestorm Cape
(That is like a tell with an item link in it, but instead of /t use
semi-colon t and just put the link, no name)
This makes the game think you are sending a cross server tell to an item,
or a person named that item. It will come back with a line such as:
Could not find player
0144C900000000000000000000000000000001AF8E9F8Firestorm
That number and the items full name is needed. Since you turned log on,
you can go into that eqlog_character_server file and get the text;
[Mon Feb 06 17:45:29 2006] Could not find player
0144C900000000000000000000000000000001AF8E9F8Firestorm
Now you have to go to your characters character_server.cfg file in the
Everquest directory and find a section of hot keys like this;
Page4Button3Name=Links
Page4Button3Color=0
Page4Button3Line1=/g 0144C900000000000000000000000000000001AF8E9F8
Firestorm Cape
Notice the weird box at the beginning and end? That has to be there, and I
split the name from the number and added the rest of the items name.
I am collecting a list of fabled items, legends items and epics and things.
Then when clicking that hotkey it will tell the group that item link.
