Into the Hills SK Version

I use an SK, wiz, chanter, cleric, mage and a extra spot for either powerleveling or a merc all are fellowship linked except the last one. My sk is full latent gear atm and the 1st 5 are level 100s
 
100 SK/Bard/Wizard max AA with 20k Marks spent on Latent and other gear on all of them. I have my team in the HA as I type this and using the bard macro. I'll test out your SK version. I'm almost at the point of swapping out my two cleric mercs for one cleric merc and then have 2 wizard mercs for a composite group of SK/Bard/Wizard, Merc Cleric/Wiz/Wiz
 
I would love to give it a try. I have a group geared sk and lots of combinations of other characters to try to go high dps, cc, extra healing, etc.
 
I'm running a full T1 raid gear SK with max AA with a bard and shammy and usually 3 caster mercs with max AA. The defense stuff won't matter much for me but I can test for holding agro and working properly with mezzed mobs

The chanter mezzed the first triple pull after the Sk died, but when the sk was rezzed, the mq2 window said "not in the correct zone" and the macro ended.

I'm doing it on a group sk right now with 1 cleric and 1 cleric merc. Definitely need to setup defensive disc for 3 + mobs.

Named didn't spawn, was placeholder, but didn't burn through me though. I haven't had a huge pull yet, I'll see next HA start if I have more NPCs on a pull and how my toon reacts.
 
So when the Sk dies and is rezzed, he sends out the /bca /end command. My toons are sitting ducks.
 
Must be the pull routine it thinks you're not in the right zone after you get rezzed that is the only spot it has bca //end besides after the mission is over.

I've removed it and uploaded a new file. Right now its not set to accept a rez so use mq2rez to accept them.
 
Bah, first wipe, but my own issue, I forgot to turn off /chase

SK sent out the end to my toons as well while he was sitting in Guild Lobby. Never got a chance to try to fellowship.
 
I haven't wiped yet on the group sk. Hes 104k buffed without stance and no shaman/pal/bst buffs and 10200 ac (bard and demand for power).
 
I just watched the sk go passed a skellie on the bridge to go get some slimes. He did not pick the closest slime, so brought three then brought the bridge skellie too. Ouch. Wipe. I'll try more tomorrow.

With no buffs, my sk is 88861 hp and 7918 AC.

Nice.... much better gear than I have. 98k with merc cleric buffs no self buffs and only 8.8k AC with only merc cleric buffs.

So SK died just outside of camp and then got a rez..... HUD shows that dead2sk is still running, but SK isn't doing anything.
 
Ya that happens with the bard also if they die in the pull routine it never resets the macro. I have to find a way to fix it. What I did to fix this is add a downshit to your SK.

I will add dead2restart to the zip. It will sit and once rez effects are no longer on you it will restart dead2sk

Seen what you mean just now. path 3 point 9 needs to be moved up some he wont get LOS and runs past them when he cant cast to pull a slime etc If they aggro he will return with them but if they dont he just keeps going past.

Doh.... I forgot that I put in the "/rez command on" for my bard and set the command to run dead2. Just need to put dead2sk for the sk to restart the mac.
 
I posted the zip. Still have to figure out how to handle it dying. Basically the bard version was broken if you died while pulling the macro got stuck it would not run any other subs and would be stuck in between paths. My fix was a downshit on the bard that made it respawn and if you were in the guild lobby it would start dead2restart and that would click campfire and resume pulling.

The SK really should never die while pulling here so we don't need that. I will look into having it run a restart macro if you have rez effects and running dead2sk once rez effects fade.
 
I am new to the Into the Hills macro and have not used any version of it before. Would it be possible to post/pm me basic instructions on setting this up?

Okay relooking this thread and don't see a post I thought I made:

William I think a minor tweak to the pathini could be used. In my opinion, there is no need for the SK to run past the group. I recommend that the SKs last point in the pull should be right back to where the rest of the group is and not run past them.

/rez command on
/rez setcommand dead2sk.mac

So no whenever you get a rez on the SK it will automatically relaunch the macro. Do not forget to do /rez command off once you are finished doing the HA and go other places, otherwise if you are elsewhere and get a rez you will start running the dead2sk macro.

I did this so I didn't have to worry about and downshift stuff.

With a downshit it will only work when running this macro. That way you don't have to keep remembering to turn that off.

LOL, play styles obviously. I don't want to tie up my holy and down flags with zone/mission specific things. I want those for anywhere I might take my toons.

One thing I have got out of this testing is that my SK is lacking in AC. Guess I need to do some research on EvilGamer or Raidloot. Any suggestions for my hunting?

PS. If you do change the path file locations, could you give it a new name so it does not interfere with the other macros' path file?

True you can make dozens of them though :) Also you dont need to turn it on and off as ${Macro.Name.Equal[dead2sk.mac]} will tell it to work or not so you just leave it on all the time.

geEQ I changed path 3 point 5 and point 9. Neither will effect a bard that much I just made point 5 and 6 the same location and moved point 9 up. I will change the ini name though so it doesn't effect the bard.

I like both of these ideas. I like the mq2rez trick, I didn't know you could do that. What I would do is somewhere in the dead2sk.mac in the very beginning is check to see if your not in the correct zone and if not just end or even better yet /echo a message first then /end.

By the way I have never looked at the macro, so I am not sure how hard it would be to add the code, but it is just an idea.
 
The issue taylor is during the pull routine if you die the macro freezes it get stuck and does not run any other subs. It already had a if me.dead call but it wont work if you die while pulling.
 
I was referring to using the /rez setcommand dead2sk.mac if there was a check somewhere in the beginning for your current zone and if not in the correct zone /echo message /end. so if you forgot to turn off the /rez command.(/rez command off). It shouldn't be an issue or could you in the dead2sk.mac just check if your not in the right zone and if the /rez command is on just turn it off /rez command off? I just throwing out ideas. I understand about the macro hanging up, but I am referring more to what if your in another zone and you get a rez and you forgot to turn off the /rez command. According to GPS_Soldier the dead2sk.mac will start running. A couple lines of code in the dead2sk.mac should be able to check for the rez command is on and turn it off if you not in the correct zone.

If I get a chance to look at the macro, maybe I will get a better idea of what can or can't be done, like I said I haven't looked at the macro.
 
well tried it a couple times, first pull is fine then next is 4 mobs and i wipe maybe that my SK just isnt good enough, only just over 10k and 8k ac buffed.
 
no bard or chanter, not sure about defensive, but dont thinkits firing
will retry tomorrow with a bard alth hes only lvl 98, any tips on how i get him to mez the adds?
 
getting a lot of " you dont seem to have that spell memorized" messages and no defensive discs are firing unless i click it manually.
shoudl i be runnign a kissassist ini for the sk before i run the deadhills mac?
