Question - How to get the aggro section to work if you are running a tank in manual mode

Apologies if I am missing something here and to Sic who has also talked to me about this on discord but has anyone got a way of getting a tank running KA in manual mode to auto taunt. I am not yet level 61 so can't autoskill (am 60 and wanted to stay there to grind AA \LDON coz came back from Kunark era and have been running a tank with small patchwork sleeves etc...) . On discord Sic (on Christmas day!! - hows that for dedication) told me he didnt think you could do that. The only thing was before i somehow broke my EQ install and screwed up and deleted my socials when reinstalling i actually had a macro that turned buffs and aggro on. I just cant remember the syntax. I have tried all sorts of variants of /aggroon /aggro on but nothing works. I could just get the half level to 61 i guess but that wont help when i want area aggros etc. Any advice appreciated.

well, what i said was i didn't see a /aggroon to toggle on the aggro section in the documentation or in the aliases inside kissassist like you would find with /healson, /buffson,

there is a "/setaggro" which does an "/iniwrite Aggro" but i don't believe that is what you're looking for.

you could always add your taunt ability to your dps section and toggle on /dpson

are we talking about the aggro section of kiss, or are you talking about having the taunt skill go off when needed??

if we are talking about taunt skill, which below 60 is mostly what you have you would put it in the dps section with a condition
DPS1=Taunt|99|cond1 Cond1=${Me.PctAggro} <100

the dps line goes in the dps seciton and the cond1 line goes in the kconditions section.

this will make you taunt whenever you dont have 100% or more on any target you have during combat.

for turning on and off the aggro section, there is no command made to do that.

Manual mode turns everything off. Can you describe in more detail how you want your tank to behave?

aggroon=1

its on, its not turned off during manual mode, but you need to set it up proper, and also i think you need to have dpson=1 or 2 to actually enter the combat loop where its called from.

but for taunt, do what i posted and you a golden potato.

thanks for all the input above. New problem though. I added the lives Kaen01 suggested and cleared all else out of DPS. Each time i start KA in manual mode and then do /dpson I get a message Chaning DPSon to . It also resets my DPS= setting from DPSon=1 to DPSon= in my ini file

/dpson takes a variable from 1 to 2

/dpson 2

to make it use dpson=2

/dpson 2 command will try and update your ini file. If you don't care about updating the ini file you can use the:

/togglevariable DPSOn 2

command to just update the DPSOn variable in the macro.
