Question - How do you handle buffing in your raid?

heyas,

as I told in another posting I run 2 groups of 60s on riz tlp.

I use cwtn plugins for the classes that are supported and kiss for the others that arnt (mage, bard, druid in my case).

The cwtn plugins do raidsbuffs like a champ and do buffs cross groups. I didnt find a way to make kiss do this so my druid can buff both groups without swithing him back and forth.

Today I tried muleassist that has a |OOG:raid tag in the buff section.

How do you guys handle your buffing in raids for classes you dont have 1 char per group?

I use a combination of OOG from Muleassist when raiding, and BuffBeg:
BegOn=1
BegSize=3
BegPermissionHelp=Valid options are |raid |guild |fellowship |all |tell |group
BegPermission=group|raid|guild|Fellowship|tell
BegHelp=Spellname|alias1,alias 2,alias 3 etc
Beg1=Staff of the Serpent|haste,Haste
Beg2=Gift of Pure Thought|Crack,crack,Clarity,clarity,gopt,GoPT
Beg3=Group Resist Magic|GRM,grm

I let my raiders know that they can tell my toon for buffs, or ask in /rs or /gu, with the caveat that my char has to 1: have mana, 2: be in range, 3: not already be casting, 4: not be in combat. They also understand that my toon is casting on the raid as he has mana.

When you say you are using the CWTN plugins to buff your raid, are you using the XTarget buffing function to just buff certain other toons outside of your group? I have done that in the past, but this option lets me get more of the raid in general. Let me know if there's another way you're using the CWTNs to buff your raid. I like to have multiple options. :)

Well cwtn just buffs the whole raidgroup.

All I did is switch raidmode on in the plugins. This way toons use the raidassist for picking targets.

Nothing more you need to do when you use cwtn plugins.

I don’t remember changing any settings but KA keeps my 3 groups buffed on rizlona. Since we don’t have a lot of group buffs I have them set to only buff certain classes with certain buffs, otherwise sham is just perma oom trying to keep everyone focus,agi, sta up

KA will buff other characters that are also running KA on the same PC.

It's when some characters are using Chat's plugins, those characters won't get picked up by KA buffers.

Didnt know KA handles cross group buffing. Thanks for info.

Problem is only 4 of 12 toons using KA others cwtn plugins.

Will try to have at least 1 KA toon per group. This way I should get group buffs at least. Will check this out.

IF using KissAssist, you can do a /bcaa //say Buffs Please!
KA is automatically set to add anyone who is:
-in the raid, or
-in the expedition, or
-on friends list, or
-in guild

Basically, anyone friendly to you can just say Buffs Please! and it will add them. Handy for OOG PLs etc etc as well.

We have a mix of mains / bots. To answer your question, some of us have set MQ2Events trigger "so and so tells you pog" for a ghetto buffbeg. Others use MuleAssist specifically for the buffbeg feature.

I think setting DanNetOn=1 in the KissAssist ini file is sufficient to get the kiss toons to buff the rest of the raid, regardless if they are running kissassist or not.

I switched all my toons to kiss now and it handles raidbuffing good enough.

I have dannet unloaded because it allways crashes for me but it still does the buffing.
