Hey guys, recently my corperate office decided we shouldn't have any games on our work laptops but i really dont feel like deleting WoW off of my system. Do any of you guys know a way to hide it? As in hide from everything, add/remove programs etc etc. Im not just talking about making the file "hidden" they are goign to be scanning all computers in the corperation and im just trying to think of a way around this.

Any ideas?

Yes.

export all the registry settings specific to blizzard in HKEY_Current_User and HKEY_Local_Machine, then delete them. Now Encrpyt the WoW directory.

Also remove WoW from desktop/start menus.

When you want to play WoW you'll need to import the registry settings and it'll probably take like 10 minutes to decrypt the folder.

Or you could just copy WoW to a USB stick and suffer with sucky load times.

alright question number two lol, How do i set up a remote connection from my work PC to my home PC using remote desktop? lol

Open the remote desktop port on your home router and forward it to your home PCs IP. Be sure that you have a secure password :-)

haha thanks again

OK THIRD AND FINAL QUESTION lol

Ive seen it on here before but i cant seem to find it. How can i get around my works firewalls? for like browsing the internet? lol i decided to use www.logmein.com but its blocked by my corperate lol

https://secure.logmein.com/

logmein has an https protocol which makes it wayyy hard to block traffic from, but if that still doesnt work you might want to set up a remote server. I used this one for a long time which worked really well but i find logmein to be much more convienent:

http://www.realvnc.com/

Download the server software for the computer you want to remote control and follow the instructions for that, and then download the viewer software for the computer you want to control it from. A trick i always found pretty helpful for computers that arent completely yours would be to stick the VNC viewer software on a USB drive. It isn't a large file at all so it should be fine.

Good luck! :D
