Problem - Help setting up Paladin tank - not getting aggro

I am messing around on the Rizlona server with a small box group. I chose Paladin as my main tank just to make it easier to go and grab spells when needed (rest of my group is good aligned). I am noticing that my tank won't change targets when my other party members get aggro from another mob. My paladin just sticks to the same mob until it is dead and then goes after the next one.

Any suggestions on what I need to fix?

What Vorpal said. I don't know of any macro/plugin that will change targets to peel aggro. In later expansions you can use aoe threat spells based on the number of targets. There are also settings to cast de-agro spells if you have them, but nothing like you're suggesting.

I've never played a paladin tank but I think their primary aggro spells are stuns and blind.

Greetings! Just a thought have you tried to change this setting in the Pal ini. ? This would be under the [Melee] section.

TargetSwitchingOn=0 change it to 1 and see if the Paladin will switch targets with new adds. Also are you camping at this time?

I was not camping at the time. I had it set so that my other toons would follow me as I ran around with the tank and started fights.

But I have not used that setting before. I'll try it out!

One thing to remember if you have used the Follow Me button the group will follow but if you start to fight then it looks like they are doing nothing... I usually hit the Follow Me button again to end follow me and the group starts fighting.

That's, not how that works. TargetSwitchingOn allows the player to manually change targets without the macro fighting you and changing back. It does not work how the OP is asking. It is also irrelevant to anyone not in a Tank role.

Thanks SA. I was under a misunderstanding of the line in KA. I knew that it is for the tank so he can change targets while busy. I thought it was more for switching to the new target that entered camp. I stand correced corrected.

Pallys man aggro is stun at lower levels... later u get aa.s to help aggro

Since you won't get stuns for awhile at your lower level. Use flash of light as your main aggro spell. You must wait to use this spell until the target is within melee range, or the target will just simply round around blinded.

As far as swapping, I use my pally on Riz in manual mode, and just tab to the next mon and hit it with a stun, or my enchanter/bard will have it locked down before I do so. CC of some type I firmly believe is always needed in any group. Once you get your first stun, you can start pulling with that, and use flash of light to continue to hold aggro if you desire.

If you don't have CC, make sure you use lull or pacify to help you make more single pulls.

I hope this helps, best of luck!
