Version of KissAssist.mac?
11.005
When did your problem start?
2 weeks ago when I started playing the Cleric
Character Role?
  1. Assist
What class is having this issue?
  1. Cleric
How often does this issue occur?
Always
Can you reproduce the issue?
Yes - just run KA
I have two running KA. Paladin on Tank or Pullertank modes, running just fine.
My Cleric was using IHC with no crashes, but better tuning is in KA, yet he causes the game instances to vanish. Not crash, just poof gone. No dump files, etc. There's no errors in his KissAssist profile, and in fact I just re-did the whole profile from the ground up (renamed old file, ran mac to generate the black profile again, re-typed things, etc.)

He buffs fine, heals/DPS is all fine, but every few mobs his instance will disappear, or all other instances except his will disappear, or once I had all 4 instances disappear.

My setup:
Paladin - KA
Monk - MQ2Monk
Rogue - IHC
Cleric - IHC fine, KA (or MuleAssist) causes crashing
2x merc

Can anyone think of reasons as to why this is?

I really want to use KA, as IHC is missing so many solid customization features, but my group is wiping when my characters just lose their game window entirely.

I wanted to note, this happens in combat when my Cleric is meleeing. I found IHC to not use Cleric melee all that well, and I recall years ago when I would use KA for this Cleric, and it worked great. I have not crashed/poofed during non-combat, on the Cleric, or at all with the Paladin during any time.

Can you provide what plugins you have running?
May also try not using advanced looting, and see if that might cease your issues.

Are you saying the /advloot new looting window?

I disabled MQ2Monk, that wasn't the root cause. Here's the rest:

I don't even know what some of these plugins are, they auto-loaded, I don't use them, or they are innate in the game and I don't directly use /commands for them.
The only other thing I could possibly think of, but it doesn't happen on the Paladin, is trying to forage when swapping between melee and healing.

Mq2autoforage is whats automating your forage it can be unloaded ,eqbugfix can be unloaded, with your current grouping you can unload mq2xassist,
Ihc requires dannet so you need that ,but i would also unload eqbc.
Eqbc and dannet may be causing a conflict, unload the above and try running without autoloot to see if that wont remedy your issue.
If it is stable ,re-enable auto loot afterwards.

I tried running KA12, and I had all 3 melees poof (everyone but the Cleric) after a few mobs.

I'll try unloading the four above. EQBC is nice because of the "come to me", "follow me" etc commands. I'll test and see how it goes.

Unload;
mq2dpsadv,mq2dmgparser,mq2spawnmaster,mq2cast,mq2aaspend.
If that dont work im outta ideas, turn off advloot in game.
Also make sure your all up to date on plugins ,macros and VV.

Everything is up to date. I'll certainly try this, but it's just weird that I have one character using KissAssist without any problems or hesitations, and another which forces the rest of the group to disappear, like they /q out. Cleric isn't even the group leader.
Does MQ2 keep logs of commands characters use, or have in their MQ2 window?

I did. And the answer is so fucking obscure and random, that I doubt **ANYONE** else will run into this problem.

Back several years ago, I joked that I was a DPS Cleric. I would tank on raids in the RoF/CotF era because I had massive AC, and with Turn Undead, heal nukes, nuke heals, and other things, I would top-20 DPS parse in the guild while still hitting Top 1 or Top 2 heal parse.
So, I used a pet rename potion, and changed my hammer pet to the name of my Cleric. Now it looks like my Cleric has the ability to backstab and do better DPS in parses.

Wait, it gets better here.

When I was doing this testing a month ago or so, I literally turned everything off on my Cleric to test with. MQ2 unloaded, etc. I, crazy enough, *STILL* caused my other guys to crash to desktop, by doing my normal Cleric routine.
What I realized is that when I would cast my hammer pet, and the pet died from riposte, logs looked like my Cleric had died instead, due to the same name. Now I am guessing that somewhere there, my other guys see a group member's name in a death message, and go to check the status of my health to confirm it; they see me not dead, don't know how to parse that, and crash.

I don't know what plugin is checking the health of dead characters in the group, but I eventually gave up, removed casting the pet with my Cleric's name from my KissAssist routine, and have had zero crashes since.
I guess the permanent fix here is to figure out what seeing my pet die with the Cleric's name giving the death message, would cause the other members in the group to entirely crash to desktop. It's a bug for sure, but it's so obscure and random that you would need to deliberately do what I did to reproduce it. Any ideas on what that would be, would likely be your answer for what could be fixed on the MQ2 side. Someone really good with MQ2 development, like @eqmule or someone on that level, would maybe know offhand what caused it.

This thread could also be relocated to a more general area, and is not related to KissAssist. Originally my troubleshooting was relating to a KA problem, but I debunked that when turning off MQ completely on this character.
