Problem - Getting hit while medding stops macro

Hi All, recently came back to EQ after a decade plus away and decided on boxing some characters. Loving this application thus far!

the only real issue I am having is when my casters are medding and they get interrupted before finished (example: a pathing mob runs up and hits them). The log says:

[MQ2] I sat you down but you are no longer sitting.
[MQ2] You have something outside of Kissassist standing you.

This is enough to apparently stop the macro from running without notifying in the chat window as when this happens nothing else seems to happen after this event. It's caused a couple corpse runs already!

Is this by design or is there something in the ini files I can change to alleviate this? Thanks for any help!

MedOn=1
MedStart=99
MedStop=100
MedCombat=1

This one just happened - medding was interrupted by AOE spell. Both casters sitting there like bumps on a log while my monk does all the heavy lifting! Had to take control of the cleric

That doesn't stop the macro (meaning it paused or stopped due to a script error). Do your characters just stand there and die when this happens? Have you tried setting MedCombat=0?

They just stand there while everyone dies.

I will try adjusting to 0. will they still med while we're in combat though?

It sounds like this was just MedCombat being on - there isn't (currently) a setting to have your casters sit between casting while a monster is in camp.

yeah i agree with SpecialEd, since you have your med combat turned on and set to start at 99 and end at 100, you're going to chillax in combat if you are used any mana until you reach 100

got it, thanks for the update! I guess the variable is a bit misleading to the novice but makes sense now. I'll flip it to zero and see what happens.

Quick up date, switching MedCombat to 0 seemed to have resolved the issue

Sure wish I could have my casters medding between casting though :( One reason I really liked that toggled to a 1.

no can't be on a mount indoors but there are a whole lot of outdoor zones now. and from the looks of the screen shot he was outside. Not going to gain a whole lot of additional mana medding during a fight, unless you don't get into the action and stay in OOC medding state but at that point if you do that every fight wasting a group spot for someone who would be doing something to kill faster.

It was my experience at lower levels that mana management was always a losing battle. Get your mana users a decent weapon and just let them wail on the mob and cast as mana permits. Adjust their spell loadouts for older (less fizzles) and less mana cost spells. Try and use the most mana efficient spells like Dots. There are two settings that can help optimize your pull rate. Both would be used in your puller's INI file and you'd fine tune the numbers to match your group's abilities in the particular zone / area you are pulling from. Eventually you'll kill just as fast as your mana and overall dps permits.
