Question - Flagging to Elemental Planes

Hello everybody.

So I ended up starting a 2nd group after you all helped me get my first group to 70. 2nd group is 66 and should be hitting 70 and starting aa grind in next few days.

My question is though, how far can i progress through PoP flagging with 2 groups? Can i get into elemental planes with just 2 groups or do i need to find someone doing back flagging to join? (never made it to elemental planes when i played live a long time ago).

I'll be doing OoW stuff for better gearing and such so not worried about that. I mainly want to just make it further then i'd been before; be able to do planal tradeskilling for profit and use for exping spots.

Any Advice is appreciated.

Well geared you could make it quite a ways but I don't think you can break into the elementals with 2 groups. I could be wrong though.

Aren’t ele planes open to all now? Or were you wanting to do progression for another reason?

Riftseekers and Muramite Proving Grounds drop roughly EP level gear. Past that, the single biggest thing you could do is find a way to get Qvic flagged (Ikkinz4 and Uqua flag). Goat armor will be the boost you need to start attempting more challenging content with your 12.

Additionally, making friends with someone who boxes 6-12 will be a huge jump in the things you can accomplish.

I’m 1 grouping PoP flags right now at 85 and I’ve had a couple close calls. Mostly its with mechanics but some fights have been tough. Rallos Zek was the biggest challenge so far. I’ve killed the minis in Sol Ro Tower but I haven’t killed him yet. He cons dark blue to my 85s. This team is fully ftp with 250 aa only on each toon. I think that you’re going to be challenged as ftp until you are higher level and wearing better than defiant gear. People surprise us all the time though so if you’ve got the will, go for it!

Elemental Planes will open up to all when DoN drops in about 6 weeks on Rizlona, so that's something to consider if you just want to see them.

I think you'd need anguish/tacvi gear to be able to do the t3 PoP raids as a 12, but would be very challenging I'd think.

Interestingly could probably do some of the fire mini's with 12 in PoFire for Ele armour/drops, heh.

2 groups could go a ways in elementals if you are running bards in both, have at least 1 cleric with 10k+ mana and a tank with at least 12khps / 900+ ac (assuming you are on Riz..the top geared tank on the server is now at about 17.5k buffed..in that range). AoE's are a pain when you are low manning things so resits are a big deal...much bigger then I paid attention on non-top servers. I am also finding that putting a backup healer in each group (Shaman or even a well aa'd beast will do) also makes a pretty significant difference. I am looking forward to the point where a shaman can main heal. No team can make up for not having your automation running smoothly...going from one group to 2 groups in a raid setting has proven to be a bit of a learning curve for me and I am enjoying every minute of it!! Haven't spent much time doing elementals, but as a data point most of the 1.5 boss' are doable with 1 uber group or 2 decently geared groups with bards running resist duty.

Edit: I agree with the suggestion to make friends with other boxers...so far I am really amazed with how friendly / competent a lot of the "uber" players are on Riz. Though I am still surprised by how much I see the magic phrase "Buff me Please" right next PoD in PoK lol.
