hey guys yet again, every single time i post something i get help, i am glad to say you guys have fixed all of my problems for me, but i come with another one. ok so my rogue he is doing good damage, and so is my berserker and bard, however is there a way to make all 3 of them assist and attack faster? more specifically for the rogue, it seems the rogue takes his sweet ass time, sometimes the mob is almost dead....at this point with the aa's i have for him i dont care where he attacks, behind is cool, but i want him to join into the fight quicker, i really dont know what he is doing to make him wait until almost the mobs are dead to join in half the time, its a loss of dps imo :( any suggestions or help will be much appreciated.

I am not the "ini" answer guy most members are but I do know they will need to see your ini to see whats right and whats wrong.

You probably know about it but some readers may not sooooo...

How to find and post the file that has your "kissassist_CharacterName.ini" information;
The "ini" file is located in the mq2 subfile macros. The file path will look similar to the following;
"C:\Users\Laptop\Desktop\mq2\Macros"
Similar but not the same. My computer's name is "Laptop" and yours will be different. My mq2 is located on my desktop. It can be elsewhere.

Identify the toon's file. Now open it in a text editor of your choice. Highlight all the text or locate and select the "select all" function. Right click, Copy.

On the Redguides page, in the bottom right corner of the editor choose "Go Advanced" to bring up the special editor with different text icons. Find the "#" one that when moused over it says "Wrap
Rich (BB code):
 tags around selected text".

Paste your entire file then while it is highlighted, or re-highlight if necessary, click the "#" to put it in a code box.

PREVIEW your message with "Preview Post" then send with "Submit Reply" ***IMPORTANT*** Cleanse your files of Character and Account Information. Some files use information you DO NOT want everyone to have. MQ2Autologin.ini is one file I know of that should be cleansed of personal data but there are others. As always, Playbetter

Putting your MA on the first Xtarget slot usually works wonders for assisting speed.

hmm, i can post later tonight my rogue's ini. I assist at 98% and i use snaproll instead of behindonce, and in my mq2melee i have a max melee range "approximate" formula for not getting ae ramp as much.

GUYS i want to thank you all, however i am at a much larger problem now, i replaced the exact code with the code listed for the fix, but now all 5 of my characters randomly just end the macro i have been unable to play now, they just end it when they feel like, i am linking the error all 5 of them are getting the same error...is there a way to keep the macro it seemed to help with their faster reactions or should i just deal with the old command, or is there a way to fix this? :( unable to play with it currently so any quick help would be much appreciated

um first blank out toons names, second down load notepad++, third find line 1035 and find your missing } after the spawn[=${MainAssist}]
that should fix your issue.

The problem with the rogue not attacking right away is because of mq2melee. You need to turn off assassinate. When you do this the rogue will attack the same time as everyone else.

With assassinate on he will attempt to hide sneak then use a skill then attack. Turning it off fixed it for me.

best would be just leave it blank in the kiss ini and it will run what the default in mq2melee is, and if you leave that one blank it defaults to a global default in moveutils which is behind the mob. but most of the rogues dps will be from the back 180 of the mob, even with max chaotic stab your dps it lacking from the front side of the mob.

i want to thank you all, it seemed to fix itself, having notepad++ and editing the files there, here is another newb question, is there a way from my warrior (one i play) to send to all 5 of the other guys with eqbc, to start kissassist up, or like target the warrior and assist, and is there also with eqbc to make a macro to send to the bard/rogue/bers to attack when the warrior engages, like /assist/attack or something? to just make stuff quicker

- - - Updated - - -

might aswell ask this also, i see the initial combat engage with the warrior when i edited the kissassist file with

| Speed up tanks attacking inc mobs MQ2Melee /killthis can cause a delay
/if (${Select[${Role},tank,pullertank,hunter]}) {
/if (${Me.Ability[Taunt]} && ${Me.AbilityReady[Taunt]}) /doability Taunt
/attack on
/echo Melee Assist Takeover: (Line 1010/1011) - Manually assisting melees with EQBC
/bct YourMeleeCharName1 //attack on
/bct YourMeleeCharName2 //attack on
/stick ${StickHow} 13 id ${MyTargetID}

it only seems to work on the first mob targeted, so if i engage 3-4 mobs, they will quickly attack the first, however the other 3 when i engage/attack, they do the normal thing, is there a way to make it so everytime the warrior engages that check is made, so it works on the other 3 mobs already in combat?

i made a command according to the list, but it does not seem to be firing off, it says could not parse command

/bct charname //command -Send /assist Charname
i have 3 of those lines for each character finalized with
/bca //command - Send /attack on

not working, get the couldnt parse it command

thank you that worked :), is there a way i can somewhere in the kissassist file, have it setup, whenever the tank switches to a new mob once one is dead, he hits the q button 3-4x? so i do not have to spam it, that is the key to make them assist/attack and it does work, rather just not have to hit the key 3-4x per mob tho? if anyone could help me with that part that would pretty much be the final thing i am trying to accomplish here :)

as long as your playing the tank and all other toon targeted the tank and are assisting him the toons will switch once the mob is dead. If you need to up the assistat under 100 but greater then 97, i found 98 to be the best for my grp, if its too low you wont get dps till the mob hits that % ie no dps routines till then. If it is at 100 then the toons will intercept the mobs before camp.

ok i messed around with the kissassist file, it works, is there a way i can have the tank fire off the q button 3-4x tho? upon attacking a mob

- - - Updated - - -

ok more specifically can i make the tank use hotkey 1 + hotkey 3 whenever he attacks a mob?

- - - Updated - - -

like how do write it out in the command is it something like /bct //use hotkey 1 ?

why do you want hotkey 1 and 3 to fire? so if im understanding you right, your toons are assist correctly, but you have 2 hotkeys telling the other toons to assist your tank, im i getting this right? if that is so again change your assistat in your kissassist_toonname.ini closer to 100. or if hell bent on doing it the current way, on all your bot toon keybind (eq options menu keyboard all keys drop down menu) and link Q to your hotkey short cut keys for each one you want ie hotkey 1 and 3 to Q as the alternate key, then from your tank issue a /bcaa //keypress Q and that should do the trick.

If your 1 & 3 are skills/abilities/discs etc you can spell them out in your DPS section of the ini. If you are having to push a button every fight you are likely thinking incorrectly. KA will handle just about anything.

There is a /keypress <keytopress> that can be incorporated into a hotkey, but I don't see why that would be necessary.

is there a way to make what i do my toons do, as in if i click on a door, they click on it, if i click on a portal they click on it to zone with me?

/afollow does a lot of that (MQ2Melee?), AdvPath does more, doors etc... I've seen /afollow zone with me, and I've seen AdvPath automatically try to open doors, and I never set either of them up. I haven't played with them much, just what I've seen happen on their own. I'm thinkin that MQ2Melee/afollow uses Advpath on its own.

- - - Updated - - -

I remember one time, I was using /afol and new at it, had my full 6 man grp, was trying to get thru HoT Upper (new to it as well) to another zone, and I mistakenly opened a door to find a named and a bunch of his buddies right there on the other side. I gracefully, slowly backed thru the door (they were yellow cons). My puller dutifully thought hey, I need to follow in my leaders footsteps. The door had closed, nothing had aggro'd, the puller automatically clicks on the door trying to follow in my footsteps, steps inside, and before he could follow my footsteps back out was dead before anyone could react. The door had closed, temporarily trapping him on the other side. I had never done anything to set anything up. I was using /afol out of the box.

/afollow is advpath, mq2melee uses moveutils and uses /stick. Afollow basically records your movement and repalys it for the other toons using /afollow so they follow the same path same turns clicks. Stick is basically the same as follow in game just it has no range check, so with that said use /afollow on lagging comps to make it through tough areas, use stick if you dont have high lag. Both have ups and downs
