Well after playing EQ for over 6 years it's hard to tell what you all have access to and not.
1 the first idea for a new person would be make a Enc< if your ENC is going to be a mule pick Tunare Diety. if you select MAIN go Agnostic> and turn in bone chips the Gurac Jure in the kaladim paly guild if you give him 4 Bone chips in seperate slots he gives you very good exp. and armor. can reach level 5 to 7 in about 1 hour with 3 to 5 stacks on bone chips. Chips can be bought for 1 silver in the bazaar, or farmed in Paniel at level 1 < this turn in with G.J. will work for any class> ,BUT diety is involved, need to be good alignment. Agnostic does not work as well but you can quickly do if you need PP can buy the chips for 1 to 5 silver and sell the armor for 1 to 5 gold and some rare pieces for 1pp
2) once a Enc< only> reaches level 8 they can now complete the stein of moggok quest. simple, quick and worth 250pp to 500pp depending on the server you reside on the complete quest can be found in either Allakazam.com or in Castersrealm.com or even check out Eqtraders.com and check thru the Links section all 3 sites have a TON of free info if your willing to invest an hour and look. this quest can be completed in under 1 hour with the use of PoK and Spirit of the Wolf<SoW> I some times just /OOC in poK and sell it for 150pp just to make a few quick PP you will need the following spells. Ill. Human/gnome or halfing/Dark elf<ogre works better but have to wait till lvl 16 i think>. Alliance= makes NPC more friendly for you<positive faction will help any one but KoS. Gate= Bind at the souldbinder in PoK for quick return to nexus of portals
3) now that the Enc has reached level 8 time to traveled to Highpass hold to purchase the new level 8 pet < the wise Enc. buys level 12 and 16 while their there. its the ONLY place to buy Enc pet spells upto 49>
it's time to see how fast you can level. at this stage you will have several options.
a) wanna level just as fast as possible head to either Feild of Bones to the large pit and grab any mob that cons DB or white. BUT first hit PoK and send polite tells = /tell <mage name> to a friendly 60 plus mage= /w MAg 60 70
asking them if they would be willing to share a complete set of pet gear. for a Lowly < what ever you are> the complete set includes a < 1 summon plate armor to increase your pets AC by about 100> <1summon fist - can proc a 160 dd nuke at level 10> <1 summon sheild- Enc pets can bash> <summon mask for haste> < Summonbelt for Ac and stats> NOTE: some will hand you 2 weapons and NO sheild. if your Enc or Mag or necro<skeletin only>politely ask for it. your pets can bash.
Then like with mage use /w cle 50 70 then send a tell to friendly Cleric for temperance for your pet. This will Double your pets AC and HP. ( buff pet after you have given it the armor get better results) then once you reach level 10 < can be done in 30 min or less> go to Kurn tower next to the PIT in FoB and kill the skeletons < save those bone chips>
B) Need to get a Bit of PP then we use the same pet tactic as listed in (A) but stop by Chrusbone just off Gfey
collect the belts<sell for 1pp, sholderpads<2pp> and any scalps< Give 4 in seperate slot to Guard Alcott I think in HighPass just outside the castle <not in the keep> near the spot where Orcs pop. he will give you 5 to 6 gp per scalp. this is a good way to add 30 to 40 pp while getting pretty decient exp.
c) desperate for Cash make a Enc mule and keep cycling thru the Stein of Moggok quest. sell for less or even take orders I have only ever gotten 1 and hurried and redid the quest. and made 375pp for 90 min work. make sure your Enc has GATE/ Illusion Human/Dark Elf and Gnome/ Alliance to help adjust faction.
AS for leveling stick to the pet strategy< pet strategy will work for all classes> BUT necro/Sham/BL pets do not bash.
NEVER shout buying pet toys be polite and send private tells high level mages get bombarded all the time. early on below 20 as if they will give you. post 20 start expecting to pay PP for them as by now they know you have a few PP to share.
I have gotten more then 20 char. to 50 in as little as a week Learn your HoT spots.
secondary spots with bonus exp. include Sol A< DONT KILL GNOMES> mid 20group to mid 30 solo
Sol B, aka nagafens lair. the front good for 45 to 50 and bats/bugs in the middle 50 to 54<can be soloed if you have temp/Virtue>
Have more and can share based on request just send email or tells in game
