Could'nt find a thread all ready exisiting for this plugin so making this one, Have afew questions about EQBC. I have three PCs and am trying to set one up as a server for this app. Do i need to have a name for it ?

Do i to name the ports ? do i use my (75.141.213.9) IP or do I use my main P.C's IP ? 192.168.0.0 ? I have a D-Link wireless router thats a total P.O.S. I tryed typing /bccmd connect 75.141.213.9 , and connect 192.168.0.0 neither could connect. I did on my router, portforwarding EQBC 75.141.213.9 Port 2112 and Macroquest 75.141.213.9 Port 2112. Kinda stuck and have to get headed to work but was hoping I could get it running after work, maybe a legit working answer by the time i am off work also. thanks in advance.

Unsure of your technical exp so gonna start from scratch, forgive me

75.141.213.9 IP is your External address do not use this unless your neighbor wants too connect too you and you will need too port forward then.

Default port is 2112 that is usually fine

Also check your ip again 192.168.0.0 is kinda strange usually starts a 192.168.1.1 (which also could be your gateway to your modem) sooooo do this

click:

start button

run

Type without quotes

"cmd"

then in the cmd window

"ipconfig"

Do this on the computer you want the server too run on. This is also the ip you will use for /bccmd connect 192.168.-.-

If you still cant connect

Get into your d-link and port forward 2112 to the ip of the comp you put the server on. What name you type in the definition for the forwarding does not matter it is just for your personal reference.

Ok so my main computer lets just say its IP is 192.168.1.1 on my other two PC's I will /bccmd connect 192.168.1.1
I will have the exe file running soly on the 192.168.1.1 PC ? the other two PCs are clients ? I will Portforward the 192.168.1.1:2112 on my router. my other two PC's wont have to leave my local network to connect to EQBC ? I can not wait to get this working on my computer at home ! Thanks Nyghteyes

Awesome now I have finally gotten em all to connect. lmao now what haha. Jk I am gonna try to get this Dain Mac on and crackin !

once your connected, you'll find a lot of commands with eqbc very powerful (and unfortunately addicting).

You can use it for many more things than the dain macro, but if that's what you want to do, you'll need mq2netbots as well (included in jmo's compile). You simply need to edit the main macro to declare which char will be taking what character. For example, I make my main toon, let's call the toon flabbie, I make flabbie = Dain. Once you've done all that, simply follow the instructions on the thread.

If you really get stuck, you can ask here, and I'm sure we'll help you out. I would suggest you edit the say command to NOT capitolize the trigger phrase to obtain the mission. (i.e. changing "Help" to "help"...or whatever the trigger word is). The macro doesn't warp around or anything but it is obvious and pretty reportable.

Although I haven't heard of any bans, I have heard of a couple suspensions.

Since this is the eqbc forum, maybe you all will be able to help.

downloaded eqbc and did the /plugin " " and all was good. then i went to join up to a server and i keep getting a 'Could not connect"

my friend went and made a server and all just fine and was using it when mid-afternoon message popped up saying "server has gone down, trying to reconnect." and it's been about 6 hours and nadda,

no matter what i do, i belive it's on my side, i can't get a server to connect. even looked into port forwarding, i made allowances on my Zone Alarm etc. etc. and im highly annoyed that i can't setup my own. but i can connect to others. and now the one i could connect to, jsut wont.

any info you all need? specifics, what not...

appreciate you all just reading it, any help is a bonus,:#

Will give it a whirle when i get off work. when the problem started i jsut did a /bccmd quit. unloaded plugin, loaded again and autoconnected. and kept getting eroor messange about unable to connect.-

..but what oh what could make it where i couldn't makea server ><

You have to restart the EQBC.EXE close it andopen it again, the problem is not with the plugin.
