Question - EMU server Ban

I was playing on a EMU server and got band for using 3rd party software .

I was using VV and Kissassist . Anything that could have given them info ?

No active hacks used !

The server admins could be doing things like DBG? Maybe someone submitted video of you playing, and they banned for that? Or maybe an admin witnessed you doing it on a random viewing of the zone players? Just trying to send some random theory your way

MQ is easy to detect on emu servers. There is no effort to hide it. If you’re playing on a emu server that doesn’t allow mq you’re being an asshole. Go play somewhere else.

You should try to play on Lazarus, they are MQ friendly and very active.
Just don't play afk or you'll get banned too

The great thing about Emu is there are a lot of servers that have no problem with MQ usage. Just make sure to read the rules of the server.

Yes, you need to target the EMU servers that allow MQ, some have a limit on how many accounts you can run at the same time also.

The EQEmu server software automatically makes a 'hacker' list of accounts in it's database, you get added to it by targetting mobs beyond a certain range, running more accounts than the server allows from the same IP, warping, stuff like that.

The GM's on the EMU server's are basically doing it as a hobby they enjoy so they are arguably more attentive than DBG GM's if you are messing with thier baby and there are far less player's for them to take a look at.

EMU is great though, especially running your own server just for yourself although I wish there were more expansions being added. And the fact we have the latest MQ on it now is just *chef's kiss*

I appreciate all the feedback, I was playing on Imperium, and I really liked what they had there, It only allows two boxing. I was using KA on the 2nd toon for heals and buffs. I have looked at Laz but the thought of 6 boxing to make progress was kinda daunting. Most other Emus had a higher box limit need and that kinda put me off going there.

Just curious. What exactly is it about Laz that put you off? I have been considering trying to customize a private server myself, because all these 3x XP!! Free Raid Buffs at level 1, etc..., on these EMU servers, just make me turn around and look somewhere else...

I have been playing on Laz on and off, It's the thought of 6 boxing that really put me off. I did find that E3 worked better for 6 boxeing than VV as I seem to get Macro Lag using KA and VV. but very little lag using E3. I don't mind 2 maybe 3 boxing. and KA / VV worked fine with these numbers I really liked the custom content on Imperium and a lot of what they had implemented.
