Question - Disable auto switching targets?

A couple years back, once a character engaged a target it would remain on that target until death. I used to take advantage of this while playing my tank by setting my team on a target and then toggling to other mobs to build Aggro, move them around, etc. This is particularly useful in balance fights (including raids), as I could split my team using a single MA by starting with everyone on one target and then switching half the DPS to the other target.

Alas, this feature appears to have changed or be disabled. It seems now that my team will continually check the MA?s target and switch whenever the MA?s target doesn?t match their current target. This check seemed to only occur previously when a /switchnow command was issued. Is there a way to replicate the previous settings?

Thanks so much for the feedback.

I have a problem similar to this. When I am manually breaking a camp, my puller will die if he agros and turns to face the mob. He will fight and die. I can not turn him and run to camp. I put coth in the mage spells to coth puller. Problem is mage keeps switching back to mob so coth won't land. In order to coth puller, I have to /backoff on mage. Then coth lands but mob will follow to camp, because distance isn't enough to drop agro. Then I have to do another /backoff to get mage pettank to agro mob.

Having chars automatically change targets can be annoying but kiss was built to allow us to afk xp.

I will be interested in the answer to the post.

Thank for all the great work you guys are doing to help us.

KA checks if the MA has switched targets and then switches to the new target. You can get around this by searching for /call CombatTargetCheck and remark out the lines.

GeorgiaGeorgiz- if you are using a pure puller, the puller should not be MA and make sure you have ReturnToCamp turned on.

Thanks so much for this ctaylor22! Going to try it out when I?m back from vacation!
