Problem - Cant type in chat window while Kiss is doing "stuff"...

This happened to me for a long time now.. my solution was to try not typing while pulling.. but thats hard to do when I'm at a name camp for several hours and am chatting with guildies during..

Any options i can disable to fix this, or is this just a known issue?

Experiencing the same thing especially when pulling with Nav and Typing. I notice that I run past mobs and all over the place back and forth instead of stopping at destination

Hmm might be right... its a combo of me using kiss and NAV...

in general, does typing while /nav'ing to a destination interrupt it? I know using the front/back arrow keys does.. but just letters / spaces?

That is not a kiss issue. It is a core MQ or MoveUtils issue. This happens because MoveUtils simulates keypress to move backwards, forward, left, and right. If you start banging on the keys while you are moving, it can confuse MoveUtils into thinking it has pressed the correct key combination to stop when in actuality you are still running across the zone. I have found to not type on the keyboard while my puller is out trying to pull something. I switch to another character that is in camp and use them to send messages.

Yeah i was worried you'd say that LOL

I mean, i use the arrow key interruption thing all the time, just cuz my SK's a bonehead... but just typing in general chat (only apha-numeric and spaces) I wasnt sure if that applied...

Thanks for confirming.. I'm going to have to do something similar I guess, and leave my puller to do his thing...

I actually used to use this "issue" to circle on my bard before I used MQ2, before /melody and /twist were a thing. I would press forward and left/right and hold them down when I hit enter to "lock" the keys as on. Then I would start clicking my ass off to get the kiting songs to play. This isn't even MQ2, this is EQ.

Try This

1. Open MQ2Nav
2. Select "Settings" Tab
3. Change "Break Behavior" to Disable.

This also happens to me when mq2nav is running its course. by changing the break behavior, this should ignore the keys for the most part.

I'll give that a shot when i get home from work.. Sounds like along the lines of what I'm thinking is happening though, so **hopefully** will be the fix..

will update if this does the trick....


Update: had a look, but it looks like the break behaviour is already set to disable in my /nav ui.... so it would appear i am stuck with this issue..
