Problem - Cannot Spend AAs

Hey guys,

With Luclin dropping on ragefire and all of us rejoicing, I am finding an issue with spending aas. It seems Very vanilla is somehow blocking me from being able to spend any aas acquired at all.

I can say that the one aa that it is allowing me to highlight and spend on is the eyes wide open aa which enables more extended target window slots.

Anyone have any insight as to which plugin might be causing this?

Thanks

Are you sure it is MQ? can you log into EQ with out loading MQ and spend AA?

Yes, I logged in without MQ and spent my first couple of aas fine. Thanks for the response warlock

At a loss there, not aware of anything that would prevent you from spending AA manually.

http://www.redguides.com/community/showthread.php/24697-MQ2AAspend

Is the only plugin I know that deals with spending AA. I don't see how it would be the culprit, but you can try "/plugin MQ2AASpend unload" to test if that is your issue.

Some of the guru's will have to step in beyond that suggestion. /boggle

It's definitely MQ. Can confirm. Not sure how to solve it though.

Edit: My loaded plugins

Eyes wide open and forage are the only two able to be purchased. I've got 10aa banked. Unloading mq2 fixes the problem.

I also manually tried to unload every single plugin one by one to see if any of them were causing it (figured it might work considering unloading MQ2 fixes it), but no luck. Might still be a plugin, but unloading them doesn't solve it either.

I'm having this issue as well. Could not figure out what was causing it either.

I have suspicions of mq2nonagwindows, can you unload it and try again?

If not unload all plugins and see if it works.

If it does its just a matter of trial and error to figure out what plugin is the culprit.

If it does it with no plugins then we harass eqmule to figure out whats up with the core.

nyght, thanks for your reply. Etherealmist said he unloaded all of his plugins and that did not resolve the issue. I believe I unloaded nonagwindows and still the same issue persisted.

Please file a bug report and post it in this thread so you can get proper help from the devs.

Im fairly sure eqmule said he plays on ragefire sometimes. He probably knows about this (and read the thread). At the moment it's only a minor inconvenience to those who know what the issue is.

I'm more concerned with the people who make the mistake of asking on the live forums....lol.

Lol yeah there was already a thread about it on the TLP forums =p

I immediately assumed it must be MQ so tried loggin in without it, and could spend AA's fine.

If it helps. I tested it with the other compile as well, and it's the same issue.

Or asking in guildchat. :D Not that this is as bad as asking on live forums, but...

Eqmule does read these threads.
I also forget all the stuff after a few hours cause im busy with other stuff, beta everyday is time consuming for example, if you want me to fix things your best bet is contacting me on skype and I'll usually quick fix stuff then and there.

If you REALLY need to get things done fast pm maskoi or redbot and they will get on my case if it's important enough (read something they are willing to pay me a few bucks to fix, which obviously takes priority over non paid work for me ;)

I saw you read the thread before even my first post. Eqmule always lurks! :shh: (handy forum feature at the bottom)

This is borked though, I am seeing the same thing now that my crew has AA's. Seems to be a core mq problem.

I grouped with and was able to get eqmule a quick six or so aas the other day, but I think that was only enough to run initial testing. He needs moar aas on RF.

Oh my just send me a PM eqmule, I dont have a big crew active atm, but can pop you in the group np.

I spent a few days on this, I don't see a problem with this, I need someone else testing this that has aa's to spend, cause when I manually type
Rich (BB code):
/alt buy 62
it buys it... that's Innate Run Speed rank 1 btw...

So, here is what someone that has aa's on a tlp server needs to do:
1. load the mq2aaspend plugin or make sure its loaded
2. type /aaspend debug on (this will make sure we don't actually spend any points but it will do all steps up to the actual buy routine)
3. type /aaspend brute now

paste the output here. you can use the mq2log plugin to log mq2 output.
4. you can also type /aaspend buy "Innate Run Speed" and see what output that gives
5. or try /aaspend auto now if u have a list of auto aas setup.

Stupid question, but is the OP using the MQ2AASpend plugin from a different website/compile? Their version has been broken for quite some time.

eqmule, are you saying you dont see the spend problem? Or don't see whats not working. The problem I see is we cannot spend AA's at all manually without unloading MQ2.

I am not using any AAspending plugins and typically wait til the end of my session, unload mq2 and buy my AA's. MQ2 is actually filtering the AA menu. I have not tried using a plugin to buy them. I can try that tonight.

I'm saying I logged into Ragefire with my level 60 Druid and I can spend aa's just fine with mq2 loaded there, both manually and having the plugin buy them. Every test I have run has been successful including manually typing /alt buy xx where xx is the ID of the AA I want it to buy.

I am using the default UI.

This is the issue I think everyone is having. The AA skills are grayed out while MQ is loaded. Even with all pre-reqs and the proper amount of AAs available, you can't press the "Train" button. It's like AA's are strictly disabled. I am running a stock install of Redguides Very Vanilla with no additional anything loaded with the default UI.

If I do an /unload in-game, the AA's immediately light up and I can spend.

My plugins loaded for reference. The only thing I manually added from stock install was Spawnmaster and EQBC I believe.

I confirm this to be a RedGuides build bug. Running the latest Core it is not greyed out.
Expect an update later today.
