Question - Can I still download the compile without the patcher ?

I never needed to use the redguides updater before. I just always downloaded the fresh compile and extracted it to a folder and went with it. Is that still possible or did something change ? I can't seem to find it anywhere now without having to do the redguides updater.

Please help.
