Question - Bunch of queries - 3 or 6 box, newbie level up, configuration

Hi all,

Very new to this macroquest thing and although I've played and have a decent level 80 berzerker I wanted to see if I can get pointers.

a) Are there any setup guides for starting a fresh group from scratch? I was thinking of either 3 boxing with Mercs or 5 boxing with a j5 merc. I don't have a dedicated gfx card though other than onboard so thought this might get too intense with 5 boxes.

b) Just I be running MQ2 compile on its own or with KissAssist installed?

c) I intend to play as the main tank for the most part, with 5 support characters. Perhaps my mercs would be wiz dps and my other characters would be bard and cleric.

d) How do I set things up to auto pull?

I've just spent the last few days screwing around with macroquest (compiled it myself) but after realising how hard it was I switched over to you guys in the hope of some quick and dedicated support!

If you compiled your own MQ2 then KissAssist .ini settings should be cake. You really do not need to do much .ini adjusting until 60s-70s.

b) KissAssist is included in Vanilla from Redguides.

c) your character choices are fine

d) after you read the guide have one character with the role of Puller/PullerTank/PullerPetTank in .ini

PS. I would set Looton to 0 in Kissassist .ini and use DBGs /advancedloot instead just because it saves time better spent killing.

Auto pulling is great if you are trying to camp a name in 1 spot. However if you are moving around a lot i recommend manual pulling with the bard.

I did have a curious effect when using my bard. Often after combat I would be completely frozen in place. Couldn't look up or down, no movement whatsoever. Issuing the command /afollow off allowed me freedom of movement again but I wondered if this was something I could eliminate. There was nothing running at the time, just MQ2 with no macro's running, just plugins. I suspect its something to do with mq2melee?
