Question - buffson force state?

I play by manually running 1 toon, and having 5 follow along with kiss.

I rarely camp and pull but more often crawl around zone.

I have a hotkey that makes my team follow as:

Rich (BB code):
/bca //target {me}
 /bca //stick 1

The issue I have is that my buffers are busy 50% of the time, so they dont respond, if I mash the follow hotkey they do come when they finish casting, but then they stop to buff again and get lost / fall behind.

I have played with sending a /mqp command first, but that seems to not be great, and since its a toggle, I run the risk of healers being paused when I need them if I missed the toggle.

Today I started playing with //buffson - which seems to be the right answer, but I still have the same issue, its a toggle - I have no way to verify that my team is ready to rock without manually checking each screen if i happened to hit it twice or whatever.

I have played with variations like //buffson=0 etc but it doent seem to support that.

Any ideas? Im open to other fixes that I haven't thought of as well, I just want a efficient way to move around in zones!

Thanks

I'm at work so I cant check the exact commands but you can issue /bcg //stopcast or its something like stopcast

I have a gethere button I spam to get my group to catch up /bcg //moveto loc ${me.y} ${me.x} maybe do that with a multi line with the stopcast and they'll charge you. Its a great button to have while dungeon crawling too you can jsut leave chase off then when ever you move you just get them to move to you. if you have a good nav mesh you could also /nav to yourself too.

Ill try the stopcast, but that wont help when they stop to rebuff mid run.

Forgive my noobness. Is /moveto yx better then stick?

I have never used chase, is there some value to that vs stick and moveto?

No idea what nav mesh is, Ill look into that.

Thanks much for all your help!

I use multiple ways of controlling my characters, i find the moveto helpful in places where stick isnt working great or if I am crawling through a dungeon I dont like toggeling the chase on and off.

Nameds that knock you back or im fighting and my caster is behind a blade of grass stopping his cast I hit the move to button. If you spam stop cast and the move to button the character will catch up for sure even if he really wants to buff

Set up mq2Nav. Once you make a "mesh" for the zones you use, it will let your puller/running toons become "intelligent" and find their own paths to targets. It will really change where you can set up camps if you are using KA to pull. Walls, caves, doors... doesn't matter it will try to find a path.

If you're moving or dungeon crawling, you can use a hotkey like:
Rich (BB code):
/bcaa //target TankName
/bcaa //nav target

which will make the whole group (or your whole EQBCS server) find a path and run to the Tank.

The benefits of mq2nav is it actually finds a path rather than running in a straight line.

That and moveto are good for grabbing stragglers

Thanks guys will set it up!

Also that guide cracked me up!

If there is a second MQ2Nav folder inside your first MQ2Nav folder it means you fucked up and nav meshes are being saved inside the MQ2Nav folder inside the MQ2Nav folder. You got some inception shit going on.

It's working great!

Don't use nav in a dungeon or if your jumping off somewhere the results can be disaterous. If you use /afol it will force buffing or meding toons to follow you. I rarely use stick because of the issue you highlighted.
