Is ISboxer allowed in eq?
I was/been using EQBC for long time but have caught suspensions last 2 big rounds

I know stuff like GINA is allowed and is 3rd party but hoping to not lose my lifetime accounts when I only ever used eqbc and never a single macro

Any info will be appreciated

Solution
ISBoxer *is* technically 3rd party. Isboxer *does* also include the ability to do scripting and automation.

DBG's stance on 3rd party apps > here < 3rd party apps include things like MacroQuest and MySEQ

however - It is super very unlikely for non-truebox servers for you to have any issues using isboxer.

for questions regarding something like this, you are always going to be better off getting a direct answer from dbg themselves. (than some previous quotes about approval, or some dude's uncles, neighbor's friend's cousin's dog's hot take on what is cool and not cool" --- including some quotes i am going to show and post =p)

for example:

When rizlona came out they left on their "no isboxer" code turned on - and then they turned it off when people mentioned it

Then you can see where Niente said you can use it again

Now the reason why i say "you are always going to be better off getting a direct answer from dbg" is because i can show you people who work for dbg stating specifically and explicitely that mq usage is ok.

But to quote Accendo "... things have evolved, unfortunately. Best bet is to avoid any third-party software." (this was more recent and not towards isboxer)

also accendo from that previous link about their 3rd party stance "Lastly, we will not publicly list specific names of approved third-party programs and software as we cannot guarantee that those programs will remain approved in the future." - Accendo

Fair warning if this thread turns into tinfoil hat or nonsense it is going to fippys. (for responses not op)

Their policy states all 3rd party software is agaisn't EULA...so up to you on what you feel may or may not get you in trouble.

Thanks :) I have used various levels of this from the "big baddies" to now just using stuff to box my guys... I know its on me if i get hit with a hammer :)

I was just wondered if there was a "boxing program" that IS perfectly fine with DBG in same vein as GINA 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thanks truly for input

Sic, that quote of them not listing the approved 3rd party programs is what bothers me most.... DBG seems to make up then change the rules on the subject 🤷🏻‍♂️

Just wanted touch base with those I think would have insight on

Thanks again :-)

It is just tough for a company to "approve" something they can't touch or vet. Imagine if that software went rogue, or did something like melt someone's PC, or steal CC info or other ludicrous things "but dbg said to use it"
