If you want to PM me vs. posting here, feel free. I play on a laptop, ide like to set up 2 or 3 PC's if need be so that it is a "true box". But ide also like to be able to play on the couch when watching a movie with family etc. In the case that I do that...whats the best way to accomplish this. I wont use any automated software etc...just old school boxing to be able to PL some friends or have a guy in CL while i xp etc.

I have EQ installed on my laptop through steam and stream it to my main PC which has EQ running from the DBG installer. can alt tab between the windows. It is subject to the quality of the streaming machine and network, cable preferred.

Use MQ2EQBC to issue commands on all of your computers from one keyboard.

I have not tried this myself yet, but if the commands are all sent at the same time to all characters, would that cause them to get kicked like i used to when using numpads and pressing keys to fast across them to activate abilities on my laptops?

the thing that triggers the kicking is actually receiving the same KEYSTROKES from multiple PC's at the same time. you can actually have box's all casting at the same time without getting kicked (even the same spells)... this is bad however because its VERY obvious to any nearby observers.

it wouldn't be hard to get around. instead of issuing a command to all your characters at the same time, make a macro that issues a command to individual character, pause, next command/character, pause, next command/character.... see what im meaning?

Get one of these:
http://gaming.logitech.com/en-us/product/g13-advanced-gameboard

Then setup casting macros like this:

/bct Character 1 //keypress 1
/pause (pick a number between 1-3)
/bct Character 2 //keypress 1

Make 3 sets of 2 or 2 sets of 3... to get coverage.

Then on individual toons::
/cast gem#
/pause (account for cast time)
/cast gem#
/pause (account for cast time)
/cast gem#

This should let you have 2-3 separate casting rotations across the group.

personally, rather just leave 1 server alone then start a war with DBG, whose obviously invested some time into this already.

But then I have 0 desire to play on those servers =)

I feel the same way... I pulled the concept I posted out of my ass after I thought about how would I do it. I'd say don't run MQ2 on any of their truebox servers is a fair trade to let us still use the old live servers :)

I kinda like the idea of going and doing a truebox setup with 3 toons and 3 mercs like back in the old days when I ran 6 CRTs to 6 box raid :P
