Well if you have free space on your computer have a go with many DOS games from the early days of PC gaming.

Go here:

http://www.agamesroom.com/

and DL any game you want. Unzip the game to a desired location and play.

Password is located in the FAQ section. Most likely is "MONOLITH".

EDIT:

Some games can be run directly to/out of DOS. Some require them to be installed so if you don't have permissions you are SOL. DOS games will work though.

might want to try opening it from the command prompt... can go to start --> run --> cmd --> hit enter....navigate to the directory with "cd [directory path]" and type in the exe name
