I like to read books and will sometimes get ebooks or txt versions etc. I would like to have something mobile with which to read(not a actual book, have too many and not enough room for them which is why im going electronic) like a pocket pc or something but reasonable on the wallet. Any suggestions on what would work best? txt, rtf, pdf, doc etc.

Any Windows Mobile device will allow you to use all of those file formats and with the amount of ebooks and torrents of books that have been ripped from physical to digital you should have no problems.
