Question - BER DPS

At what point do they get to be top end dps and replace monks? Is it at release or a few expansions later? It's been forever since I played in those tiers and completely forgot when Ber started to become very strong.

At 100 they start becoming good. At 110, they are good when paired with good ADPS. My group for instance, SK/SHM/BRD/BST/BER/ROG does solid. Swapping out BST for monk, and all toons are solidly geared with chase loot, the BER and MNK would swap back and forth as cd's came available, luck, rng, etc. At 115+ I imagine the gap increases for BER dps.

Yea, not ToL for my toons for a bit, but I cannot imagine they will keep a lot of humanoids in next xpac. They try to change things around some historically. Maybe bring some other classes in line? We can hope.

Worth noting that (and correct me if I'm wrong) afaik this is in group situations because of assassinate and headshot.

From what I've read on the official forums, devs have been using HDex (which leads to more crits) to scale damage for the past few expansions and since zerkers have been max crit rate for a while now it's lead to other classes getting much bigger gains per expansion than zerkers, thus shortening the gap between them.

they really come in their own once they have dichotomic rage and braxi - which is 101

my response is still the same =p they're underwhelming relative to what you'd expect them to be until eok - which was 6 years ago this year =p

rizzle won't be on EoK until October 2024 --- so that's gonna be a long while - so perhaps the responses aren't that useful for you =p

THat actually makes sense on the dichtomic. Hmm I guess I’ll just Keep running with two ber and maybe m second group will be 3 mage. Trying to figure out what the right path is from RIZ through this year and maybe next. I remember monks still being good in SOF whI have is end of this year. So I guess I’m not switching. Decided to play on TLP for a bit since I’m starting to max out on TOL.

FWIW my dps group on riz is 3monks/ber/shm/bard. Zerker is maybe 75-90% of monk dps depending on the fight and what burns are up. Definitely worth having atleast 1 zerker for war cry and cry havoc buff on monks.
