Derple submitted a new resource:

Bazaar / Auction Helper - Derple's Bazaar Tool

This is another of my personal helper Lua scripts.

It has 2 modes:

1) Bazaar
2) Auction

In Bazaar mode it will:
- Handle all the fiddly clicking around the bazaar UI to set prices with a simple set price interface.
- Auto open the UI for you as well as the trader UI.
- List all items that you give a price to.
- Search the Bazzar every 30 mins for all items and store the prices it sees in a DB.
- Allow you to auto undercut by [X]% the lowest price but will not automatically do this...

Firstly this looks incredible!!!
Secondly... I couldn't figure out how to start it. /Lua run ?

Edit: /Lua run bazaar
 
Small ask for help..it runs fine on main computer, note it does not run. I'm up to date on both computers on EQ/RG/Lua, etc. I tried deleting and reinstalling.
I get the following error on my notebook where my baz guy is (of course):

That was the answer !! I did not have that..I do not know how to get it ...I did a search and could not find the answer. I looked in all our Lua and plugin and resources areas, as I recall the name back when TCN had issues. So I opened TCN on the baz account (obviously it was the first time on my baz mule as it asked to install PackageMan) and boom, works.
So if I may suggest.. add that in the install check, and mention it in the Overview tab to clear up future questions for other, plus please add to run /Lua run bazaar for other dum-dums like me.

Hmmm... can't get this to work. /Lua run Bazaar or bazaar_db doesnt work. THen I try /Lua run init and it goes through some process and ends Lua script. Guessing i'm doing something wrong.

I don't expect anything, this is your work. I love it. This is just ideas for you, nothing more.

1. Trader Settings up above to the left, saves space
2. Scan drop down with 15, 30, 45 or whatever in min. This may be irrelevant completely, I don't know what's safe for recheck times.
3. Add "My Qty" Column, perhaps Qty on the competitor?
4. Scroll bar moved to only need to scroll the list below, and leave your nice menu above in place.
5. Perhaps a change for matching price to a gray or white or something.

Try the latest version I just pushed it fixes an issue if you didn't have the sqlite3 Lua package installed already. but you need to drop this into release/Lua/ and then /Lua run bazaar

to be clear your directory structure should look like this:

release/Lua/bazaar/init.Lua

OK so RedGuides/release/Lua/bazaar/ is where all 3 files go. Baz_utils.Lua, Bazaar_db.Lua and init.Lua

Then hit /Lua run bazaar?

All of my other Luas are under Redguides/Lua.
 
@Derple
1. For the Auction, is it meant for the trader or any toon in any zone?
2. In the Manual Add area, you have item name. Would you consider using item number? I can see using /link to see item info/number and adding it in the manual area.
 
1. I play on TLPs so Auction is for a pre-bazaar EC tunnel type situation.
2. I use the linkDB tlo to generate the link which works on item names but generally I assume you would just drag and drop it no?

AH... could be I'm a bonehead and not thinking of its use properly. I was thinking of buy and sell. I mention the item id because some things have funny " ' or such in the name or difficult to spell nonsense. Also I may need new glasses..:shrug:

This is why I added drag and drop you can just drop the item since it is only for selling right now you should in theory have the item in inventory.
 
@Derple, this Lua has been absolutely amazing and has made managing my bazaar store SO much easier. Here are a couple of suggestions, some of which are affirming @Redfrog 's comments:

- Change color on match versus winning price (Redfrog also said this)
- Add quantity per item (like Redfrog said)
- Add number of sellers for a given item- Reason being, sometimes I am the only seller for a given item and would like to know if I can increase my price. Only way to do that is to manually check each item I am the best price on to see if there are any sellers above my price. It would maybe get a bit messy to add next highest price (or delta to next highest price), so just knowing if I am the only one selling the item is good enough.
- Give an option to undercut by a give amount (5000, 10000, 1, etc.) Changing a price to 59986 (because that 5% below the next highest price) looks very bot-like. Round numbers help keep us off the radar.
- Adding a stop Lua script button would be nice too (i made a hotkey for when I switch characters for the time being).

With all that said above, I think your Lua is awesome! Keep up the fantastic work!
 
@Derple I so enjoy this Lua, a problem arises every few days though. I don;t have an exact as I leave it up and every 3-4 days it crashes. This has been happening I think since you posting it, but originally I did not leave it running 24/7. I do that now. Everytime it does it has been crashing the EQ instance of the Seller acct., my Buyer (on the same computer) uses nothing (no Lua/macro) and is unaffected. My seller only uses this Lua.

@Granditos What do you think about a Competitor's Qty versus a 'number of sellers per item'? Here is my thoughts, please feel free to add in: I would like to see a My qty and Competitor's Qty so I can choose (somewhat similar to your thought) to decide to change a price or not. If I have 100 Spell Runes and Competitor has 1 for sale at a lower price, I may choose to leave my price and wait for that guy to sell his 1 item. If its reversed and I have 1 item and competitor has 100, it would be more benificial for my price to match or be lower. An easy way would be if its possible to see both those qty numbers.

Yeah I agree with that. Great idea. Let someone take out the low priced single item so prices will adjust up to my price.

No, unfortunately not. I did not realize it was happening exactly until I was on the seller and saw it begin a scan and then poof. Once (only once) it crashed while I was playing and it wound up logging the seller off with red error text in the MQ window, I SHOULD have taken a screenshot first, but I instinctively logged the seller back in thinking I will screenshot it after. But it cleared the MQ window upon login. Yes I'm dumb. I did read it though and it did say bazaar/init Lua had crashed. I will be more careful to try and capture it, but that 'crash' to character select has only happened once.

I made some speculative fixes
 
So after loading mq2linkdb I pressed the Auction Now! button and it put a message into the proper channel, without any link.

So I then unloaded the Lua and restarted it, now I get

I am curious if I am heading for a crash..it stopped doing anything, and as you see in the pic MQ window says
"Waiting for bazaar cmd to finish" as well as the scan shows Next Scan in -1:17:41. It stopped mid scan at 35%.
I did not update yet since your last update and wanted to see if I could capture any info for you next crash. I'll leave it for a bit to see what happens.
