i was using a custom ini file for a bard shared by a guild member and it doesnt seem to function properly when i copy sic's bard ini over it it still wont use sics file no matter what i do he keeps using the custom one any idea how to get it to use sics?

Are you saving when you close the .ini? are your pointing at the right .ini? are you redoing /mac *name of kiss pointer* after you overwrite, save and close?

If you are overwriting with other data, it CANNOT be using the old settings.. because they no longer exist..

no /MAC running. So you open your kissassist_charname .ini ((text file), CTRL A, then DELETE. Go to the new .ini (Sic's in this case), CTRL A, CTRL C. Go back to the now blank .ini, CTRL V. click close, it will ask if you want to save. Say yes. Go to your bard, target whomever /mac kissassist, and it loads ? If it loads the custom one, either your editing the wrong text file, or your KA is pointing to the wrong location...

Remove yours from Next all together. Cut and paste it somewhere else. Do your /mac kissassist to create a fresh ini. Copy Sics into your new ini and see if your troubles are resolved.

did all that and got nothing hes still using the same stuff as the old ini which was completley diffrent form sics
you are probably not putting the file in the correct location. they go in your config folder in "next" and not in your macro folder.

that or the ini feels betrayed by you

put it in my config folder in next and hes still not using it

Per the KA instructions you can specify exactly which INI file to use at load time. You might give this a try. One caveat is that it will expect a file with an INI extension. If you have saved it as kissassist_bardname.ini.txt then it won't work. You'd need to enable viewing file extensions in Windows Explorer to ensure that doesn't happen.

/mac kissassist ini kissassist_Name_IceNukes.ini
