Question - Bard or Rogue?

Im creating a lock picker for the upcoming anniversary release zone that now requires that service since you cant illusion through doors anymore.

Ive never played either class ever, even though I have been playing since Jan of 99.

Pros / Cons of both? Im leaning towards the bard for dps enhancement on my ranger and his added mez abilities even though I have enchanters.

Thoughts?

if you have enchanter/ranger, i wouldnt bother with bard, there are locks that bards cant open and rogues can increase ranger dps too i think
