Problem - bard not assisting unless tank is right on top of him.....

When did your problem start?

been since 11, I have been using positioning on the bard to get by this but can not do that in dungeons etc. I need a solution....

Ok I am out of ideas, I have fiddled with my camp radius, assist at etc all and nothing seems to fix the fact that unless the tank is literally on top of the bard, the bard does not assist. Here is my ini file for the bard... any big brains out there have any ideas I would love to hear them.........

you are using mq2melee, but kiss still fucks with mq2melee even if you have usemq2melee=1 - if you manually type a /melee load - does he stop being stupid?

meleedistance=25 is way too low. Try 75-100

To add: meleedistance is the distance at which a character, any character, including casters, will engage a mob. At 25, you will only attack mobs that are less than 25 units from your character. That's why you only see the bard attack when you drop a mob right on top of it. At 75 to 100 units, the bard will run over to the mob and start attacking once the macro has determined that the bard should be assisting. If you go too high, you will start to see characters run way out to attack a mob on incoming before the mob has reached what you would consider a proper "camp" area. For casters, this controls the distance at which they'll cast spells. They won't run to the mob in the same way that a melee character would, but they'll start casting nukes and other spells once the mob is within their defined meleedistance.
