Question - Any passive path finding?

Is there a way to get some kind of passive path assistance to an arbitrary location? e.g., either a find path line on screen, or a nav path on the map without actually navigating?

The objective is to guide manual navigation in a complex unknown zone.

Edit: Algar posted solution: /nav target paused

Doesn't waypoint just drop an X, not show a path?

And yes, I'm using mq2nav. Currently, I'll have it /nav, look at the map, then cancel it and go a ways then re-do. Not sure if there's a way to have it permanently displayed without navigating.

You are asking if the nav path can be drawn on the screen without engaging the autonav movement, correct?
Yes. (Or any equivalent functionality like find path, except I think that only works on EQ approved npcs/zone lines.)

The use case is basically finding my way through a zone that's new to me (I'm catching up on content I missed between ages ago and now), and has a ton of elevation changes and levels stacked on top of each other so brewall alone isn't super helpful even with the height filter enabled.

I am not personally aware of any way to do that, unless he has some kind of debug or test mode built in.
Does the line stay there when you pause the navigation?
You can /nav pause
It also seems you can add the "paused" flag to start nav paused (e.g, /nav target paused) according to
Ooh. That works. And the path updates when you move.

Not sure how I missed that one. Thanks!

the paused thing was a *little* more user friendly when you could see the yellow trail wisp, which you can't currently see until brain does his dx11 revamp

I miss the line so, so much.
