Problem - All toons running CWTN plugins crash to desktop randomly

I noticed this happening in Sanctus Seru the other day. I run all my toons to a mob, engage, then randomly, every toon running CWTN plugins will crash to desktop. No warning, no errors, just the client crashes. Toons stop moving and just sit there unitl I boot them to log them back in. This happened quite a few times, so i left the zone, not happening in other zones.

I am now noticing it in the zone Katta Castellum, just happened. These zones drop shards i need for VT quest, otherwise i wouldn't care, but seems to be specific to these zones so far for me.

Again, only CWTN toons crash, the other 15 or so are fine.

do you have any dmp files? pretty hard to guess without that

can you elaborate more on what you're doing?

and "the other day" isn't super helpful either, as today is a patch day.

where can i locate the dump files or turn them on? What i am doing is essentially running one toon, then i have a /bca //nav id ${Me.ID}. Then, when everyone is there, i click my attack on which turns all CWTN plugin toons to assist, turns mqpause off, and everyone starts doing their thing. Randomly while attacking, never during any specific clicks i do with a button, all the CWTN toons crash. The other day is sometime last week. I don't know for sure as i just left the zone, figured it was a zone thing and I can get with i want in another zone. But, it is affecting both zones (at least only these two zones that I have experiences).

I generally will run into a pile of mobs, all grey or green con, then attack. Could be anywhere from 5-20 on me at at time while the crew mows them down.

if you have a dmp file it will be in your logs folder --- MQ2 --> Release --> logs

pm a couple of those recent dmps to me and chatwiththisname please.

I see some dump files, but i'm not certain which to send you.

I crashed about 20 minutes ago, but i don't see a dump file with that timestamp.

Will that matter?

well yes it does matter. to diagnose a crash, we would need to look at dmps generated from those crashes. looking at dmps unrelated isn't going to help diagnose your crash.

your dumps basically look like WhatCausedtheCrash_DATE_TimeOfTheCrash

so a mq2berzerker crash dmp would look like mq2berzerker_20210616_080000.dmp etc

but send chatwiththisname and i a couple of the dmp files in PM, that are from the time period of your toons crashing.
I suspect you are having a kernelbase crash with mq2autoloot, and not related to the cwtn plugins, but happy to look at your dmps either way so we can make a determination

Thanks - i figured it would matter, and sort of also figured there wouldn't be any dumps. Nothing "crashes" per say, i just lose all sessions of the cwtn plugin toons, they disappear, and my toons just stop moving until i boot them out.

Another bit of info on what i'm killing - farming for VT shards. So, technically, everything i'm attacking is a "named" as they have names. So, EQ beeps at me, indciating it is a named (i'd love to know how to turn that off). That's one difference i noticed between these two zones and others is i'm constantly killing "names" with many in camp at once

you can burn off beeponnamed - did you look at the commands tab for the plugins?

example:
/war BeepOnNamed true/false/on/off/0/1 - Beeps on named (when in a tank mode)

well as mentioned in the pm replies - you appear to be crashing with mq2nav, which would make sense since the cwtn plugins use mq2nav to move to mobs

I would recommend ensuring you're running the correct dx9.c version of directX > here <

the other crash dmp was trying to connect to a truebox server

i am using the most up to date directx, i tried that as a possible solution last time with my nav issues. I was using the most recent, but I do not recall if i was able to uninstall / reinstall or not, thinking it could have been corrupt. I think i ended up just lowering PC resources instead by essentially turning everything off in addition to all the other things i'm already doing. The thought was nav was breaking due to resources available.

"most up to date directx" - you need the directx 9.0c that i linked. the version that windows 10 ships with is not the version you need/want.

but based on our conversation, and the issue - it *does* sound like an available resource issue

Not to hijack, but thank you for posting this! Currently at work, but lately 2 of 6 members from my team have crashed and now they seem unable to log in via MQ2Autologin, always have to manually log them in. Going to check my download when I get home.

I have had by CWTN plugins crash with mq2autoloot and a large amount of no drop quest items left on corpses. I just turn off mq2autoloot (/autoloot set off) on all the chars except my driver and that resolves the crashes.

that is not a cwtn plugin crash
