Is there a trick to getting the fire proc to work? I attack with my bard and half the time he gets wasted before doing anything and proc never goes off.

You mean the bard dies to Grolik? The Fiery Touch buff has a 5min duration, so make sure it hasn't faded.

Interesting - so it'll proc on a dmg spell? I'll try it with my druid. Can heal myself over there too.

It cannot be a spell, has to be melee swing.

I tried to proc the fire thingy with my bard, rogue, etc. It was stupid becuase Grolik went to 80% before it procced, just bad luck. What I do now to make sure it procs is to use my tank and attack Grolik with fists until it procs and ones-hot it.
Thanks for the tip on how to do it, defo quicker this way than keep killing Grolik and offtanking orbs/mini golem. Defo, new teams with low gear should do this strategy, because you totally skip any sort of add.

Ohhh - may try that. Good call - may have better luck with the tank doing that and keeping aggro.

anyone noticed a blast in this mission? been doing it for weeks, tried today the new way and failed. but i couldnt even seem to do it the way i have been doing it for weeks. the aoe was straight up slamming me like it hasnt before. even brought in a second healer (shm and cleric) and it was STILL killing us. one of the attemps it 1 shotted my zerk with 370k hps. full to dead with 1 aoe

There are many AE spells in this mission. Can you be more specific about what stage in the fight you were on and what was happening at the time? You're not standing on Gollik's aura while he's underground, are you?

Just off hand though, no, I haven't noticed any different tuning that would account for this.

before aaryonar hit s 60s, i run in, engage, start dpsing toward 60, and around 69% its like wtf half the groups dead, then couple seconds later rest of the group is dead.

This is well before grollik even spawns. Ive ran this mission daily for just about 2 weeks with no issues. I didnt even know about the trick of getting that buff on the bard till a couple days ago. i would just tank everything. but starting yesterday, i cant even get aary down to 60% anymore without it wiping me.

For folks trying to get the fire proc before grolik spawns, either the auras do not last very long or they despawn when aary flies away. make sure to grab your buff before she drops below 60 or look like an idiot like me

also, to reiterate this very important fact … once you get the fire proc DONT DO ANYTHING until you’re ready to cast/melee Grolik. You’ll burn your proc and have to do the mission the hard(er) way.

I can beat this event in 4 and half minutes with the fire aura. If you don’t have the dps definitely work on your timing to get the auras to pop while he transitions to flying away.

We had a few sk and pally‘a solo the mission.

got it down pat now, im doing it every day no fails no deaths normally.

last one is giving me hell though and thats crusaders

part of it was my healers would move infront of aary so i would turn it to keep them out of frontal and zerker would take it.

My burn dps (IE zland is 5.5m group)

They're timed. Intruders curse is on it's own timer. The other 4 (roar of earth/fire/ice/shadow) share a timer and you get 1 of the 4 a few seconds after the auras despawn. It's also possible that they overlap and you get 2 dots at the same time. The Roars can be blocked if you get the corresponding Echo buff from the auras before they despawn.
