Question - 6 group set up

I made a new group of toons - using War, Clr, Enc, Wiz x3.

Made it to 44 quite comfortably, but now at a spot where leveling slowed down a fair bit. Goru Mesa is ok, but the giants are too tough for my gear and spiders seems too slow. I run Kissassist on all toons, and wondered if there were any benefits to using autocleric and afnuke instead?

Is my location a good place or is there another sweet spot that will take me through till I can attempt griffons in this zone? Wizzies are casting conflagration only, with harvest and self buffs as necessary.

honestly, gear is probably your biggest set back... Judging by your willingness to put some $$ into EQ (Subscription to Redguides) just buy 1 krono from here ($8) and sell it ingame for some plat.. Take that plat and get on bazaar and upgrade toons as you go.

It can be hard to find useful gear at lower levels in the bazaar, so you have to farm it or go heroic on toons and farm from their. Keep in mind this is an old game with lots to do. Most people don't venture to older zones hence the lack of stuff in bazaar at lower levels. Things will be time consuming if you are starting from scratch. I am on cazic which is a decently populated server but there is still a lack of lower level stuff in bazaar. Granted I am assuming you are on live, if on TLP it about that grind. But atleast there you will most likely find current era stuff in bazaar if its at Luclin at least.

Try older content. They have much lower HPS, and 1-2 pieces of defiant is better than what we were wearing in 2000! Maybe dreadlands in Kunark at that level, nice and open, easy pulls and kills.

I did play back in 99, up until PoP came out. Having a blast revisiting some places, and to be honest I have a 85+ berserker that could easily farm some gear by destroying zones for my lil newbies.

If you have higher level toons... use them to babysit or level the toons, and not worry about gear till 80+ Just healing the warrior merc can get your toons to 75+ fairly quickly.

I didnt gear my last group other until they hit 92 for fear touched items. Next upgrade, 100 for castaway. Of course it helps to have 105s to buy the stuff, but T1 is all tradeable.

If you want to enjoy the journey of leveling your 6 group, you could set your 85 char to advloot everything and farm some defiant.

Don't forget that there are some defiant gear vendors in POK for jewelry slots. The vendors are near the Loyalty vendor.

44 to 64 I did in nadox start at first camp there and then move to other areas in zone till 64

I agree that doing older content is the better way to go. The newer expansions have more HP and hit harder. You'll kill faster in other zones. Check out the suggestions on this website: http://almarsguides.com/eq/leveling/
