Question - 115 to 120 PL for 3 new toons with 3x 120s

I would have necro’ed an old post, but I have kicked that habit (cold turkey with new autolockinng feature).

Looking forward to pre-order next week (hopefully) when I can finally bring my three 115s up to 120 in prep for SoL.

Details:
My 3x 120 can handle any camp in NoS by themselves.
My 115s are all max AAs
I haven’t done CoV paragon or progression yet.

My goal is sprint to 120 so I can start getting them raid gear during the bonuses. I know I will have problems with AAs but since my other 3 can grind by themselves I’m not too worried about it. Plus I could use a ton of TS materials and can kill two birds while also doing AAs.

From what I have read, I should do the following, what do you think?:

CoV paragon
ToL progression and Paragon
NoS progression and Paragon

Im tempted to start with NoS paragon since I can handle most of it and then blast through ToL and CoV after that.

Also deciding on when to pop a krono… thinking maybe once they hit 119, or just wait until 120 and then focus on AAs. One is a tank who I plan on keeping gold while the other two I plan on keeping in FTP gear once max AAs.

any of that sounds good.

getting "in shape" for a new xpac, don't sleep on doing hunters so you can get some bigger bags too
progression is fine and a good idea but many people just grind it out and don't bother

normally i would tell you to avoid going to 120 before AAing, but since you're already max'd aa at 115, you'll be fine since you're not really counting on those toons to help you win.

I would recommend doing the nos progression and getting the 3 new clickies there (and mount and familiar) - double dip your time if you're not wanting to just grind it out
 
I thought I heard CoV was really crap xp (and am pretty sure I remember experiencing that) so if you can handle it I'd probably skip straight to ToL. In fact I just checked the rewards for the hero and paragon achievements in CoV and they only have hero aa's listed, no xp so unless there's some hidden xp boost your best bet is probably ToL.

Perfect. Thanks Sic. Can I get the 116s (will ding pretty much on purchase of pre-order) into NoS? Or is there some level limitation to progression?

Nice to know that I could pretty much skip ToL and CoV without much of a give up.
 
CoV paragon is crap xp same with NoS progression / missions. The big XP chunks come for level expansions so ToL would be better to do for the XP. NoS has like Sic said for the mount / familiar etc and gear
 
If it were me, I would do work through ToL Progression and hunters, good xp, and can you ever have enough bag space?, and farm the missions for coin/and the augs, that drop as well as farming up the ToL Tier 1 augs while you are xping. get bored of that and I would go hit CoV paragon, just to farm the ores for augs, and hit up NoS paragon for coin and gear, shiny familiar etc.

Good call on getting some ores. Already have all my CoV ores from name hunting last bonus. But 100% need some type 7s from ToL as well as those in NoS.
 
Sorry for hijacking but I have 4 115s that are ftp as well.. will ToL progression alone be enough to get them from 116 to 120?

Working from a faulty memory here, but I want to say each mission was like 60-80% of a level and doing all 4 puts you in the low 119 area but I might be wrong. I'm thinking that's right though because everyone complained a lot at launch about the grind to get from there to 120 being a pita
 
Each of the heroic missions in ToV and ToL are worth about 22.5 % XP for the one time achievement bonus.

Completing all 4x gives you another 22.5% XP

So you are looking at a total of about ~ 1.20 levels from each expansion.

These are NOT effected by lessons of the devoted or any XP pots, but, ARE effected by the global XP boosts we get during holiday weekends.

If you are not in a hurry its best to wait for a bonus weekend and do them at that time.

All of ToL mercs / partisans / missions leave you just short of 120. Missions alone get 1 and abit of a level.. less than 2. I remember at launch I was just under 120 when I completed bloodfalls progression. I had like 40-50% to grind out.

Doing it during bonus do would work though, missions during the extra life event in November will be quite abit of XP

Just FYI, they've announced:

  • 150% experience gains – October 10 to October 23, 2023
 
He is right about the experience gains, the best way to level is wait for those Experience bonus times and add them with Experience potions. Get a good camp where you have a lot of spawns and kill fast

If I remember rightly, didn’t we have a week of exp 200%+ last year around November due to that hospital charity?

What classes are your 3 120s and 3 115s?
 
MQ2 Grind or progression + the upcoming exp bonus week and everyone will be 120 and max aa’s easily with that group. I don’t like progression for leveling so I tend to grind it out. Less attention on my part. Then progression is trivial. Edit: I would pop krono now.
