Theatre of Blood key Walkthru

This key starts in Arcstone with Ao the Fourth Born... on the platform at the zone in to Relic. /say 'group' to him to start. He has 3 tasks that can be done out of order as long as the person getting the task is up to that point. The 3 instanced missions take place in Skylance, which is very close to Ao. Like the DoD missions before it, the tasks are currently bugged to not give credit to anyone zoning at the time of completion.

Mission 1 - Library
Zone in and clear the adds from the first area, through the portal at the top of the ramp.
someone invis and go downstairs to talk to the named student in the middle of the entrance
set up by the portal, pull mobs to there, it's fairly safe from the adds that pop while killing minis
Do NOT kill head librarian
Kill one of the assistants. It’s recommended to pull him down to the portal to avoid the books from adding. One of them will proc a knockback off the platform.
Clear repops and adds that pop during mini
Kill other assistant. Again pull down to the portal to avoid the book adds.
Clear more adds
Do turn-ins to the Head Librarian

Tip (To avoid worrying about adds coming to the group, you can set camp up at the bottom of the Library, and pull all mobs to that point it gives a large amount of room to kill with no worries about getting adds on the group while medding, as the mobs in this zone have a AE that slows the melee causing long kills. The AE also attracts any mobs in range.)

Mission 2 – The Oubliette
Clear trash (anything with creeper in name is a 5k hp gimp mob, mass pull them with max DS on and AEs loaded). Watch the roamers though, they are normal exp mobs and might complicate the AE clear of the trash.
Once you get a room clear note the eggs in middle
Kill 1 egg at a time, each will trigger a mob
Once you kill them all move on. Zone does repop though
Eventually, randomly, you will find the correct egg (when you kill it you get an emote and whoever got killshot gets an egg item)
Turn in the egg to Ao the fourth born.

Tip (Stay at the entrance, keep 1 room clear eggs and any roamers that will come into it. If you can keep more then 1 room clear great! As you now cut back the time you will be in the zone. The Egg you are looking for is completely random.)

Mission 3 – The laboratory
Zone in, plant egg on table (person who gets mission gets an egg)
Camp spot is in the middle at table
You get zone wide emotes that tell you which tool to use next on the egg (see the list below for locations of those devices)
Note that along the outer/upper walkway there are 4 clickable TABLES and 4 clickable blue control CONSOLES.
click the correct trigger object when it is called. If you click the wrong thing, you get a yellow emote and a failed experiment spawns at the table. It’s a normal mezzable exp mob.
Clear all mobs between clicks. They roam the upper level where the devices and table are. About 2-5 mobs will spawn between clicks. I hear you can also click the table/device with an eye of Zomm to avoid agroing any of the mobs, but that’s pretty boring.
8 consecutive successful clicks spawns the boss mob who is a wimp
Do turn-ins, get tarnished chime

Device List:
(Note that the table and the consol are different things right across from each other)
Ethreal Goo – East Consol
Gaze-O-Rama – West Consol
Hyper Manipulator – South Consol
Trans Injector – North Consol
Dispenser – South Table
Ether Spirit – East Table
Necrotic Tissue – North Table
Distill Magical Spirits – West Table

Tip (Have a FD class go in and follow the zone Emot’s, leaving the group outside the portal. When the named spawns have the puller pull the named out through the portal and kill it on the main floor that you zone into. This method is a boar for the group but is a fast way of finishing this mission with little effort (except the puller).

Upon completion of the 3rd mission, a Tarnished Chime will appear in your inventory. Hand it to Ao if you have all 3 tasks done. If all are done, Ao will hand back a Harmonic Chime. If you lack all 3, he will just give the tarnished one back.

Once you have the Harmonic Chime, take it to Arch Mage Geslin (sp?) in a tent at the zone in of Arcstone. When you hail him, he will exclaim something about you finding it and asks to see it. Hand him the Harmonic Chime and he will return it and a Silent Harmonic Chime. He will give more lore and say you might find more info in Devastation.

Saga of Skins:
The next section is the Saga of Skins task. As an aside, it is a task that will give an individual one of their spells. But more importantly, upon completion, that person will be able to get a 54 person task which will flag everyone in it for a portion of their ToB flag.

Go to Devastation or Razorthorn and start killing. There are 9 skins that drop off the 9 different types of mobs there. The types are Bolvirks, Undead, Kobold, Orc, Evil Eye, Wurines, Drachnid, Shilliskin and Berserkers. The “skin” only drops off red con mobs and is Lore, Magic, and No Trade. The skin is sometimes a carapace or fur. Red con mobs almost always drop it, but on rare occasion, they won’t.

Once you have all 9, turn them in to Grand Librarian Maelin in PoK. Hand them in 1 at a time and have 9 inventory slots open in addition to the 9 that the skins are taking up. Each time, he will return the skin and a lore page. Combine all 9 pages in a Book Binding (available at many research trade skill merchants) and you will receive two books… Saga of Skins Volumes 1 and 2. Hand them back to Maelin and you will receive your 70th level spell as well as begin a 54 person task (the one we got on Sunday) called “Become the Vessel”. The tasks take half a day with a single group, but a raid can do in just a few hours.

Once the task is complete, everyone in the task goes to Grand Librarian Maelin and “/say what charm of enraged flesh?” This will give you a charm for access to Sullen Zek’s tower.

Tip (Collect 1 skin in Devastation, This will start the quest. Then get someone to spawn the mission “Samples of Corruption” All the skins drop in this zone and you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone, saving all the time it might take to pull and wait on the correct spawns to show up in Devastation.)

Next:
Hail Othimir, the Outcast at the zone in of Devastation. Follow his text and you will get a container and a single group instance task ("Samples of Corruption"?). The task is to loot 10 bloods from various mobs in the instance and is fairly easy. The instance is inside the Stronghold and there are several see invis in the way to the entrance, so you’ll have to clear or train in. Shadows will occasionally pop on you and charm someone for a few minutes, so have enough healers that you won’t wipe if a cleric gets charmed. Loot 10 bloods, combine, and return it to Othimir. Then “/say what chimes?” and give him the chime you have, one at a time. He wil return a Twisted Chime.

Finally:
Tak'Valnakor – North Ro

Mission 1: The Key to the Past
Tip (You must clear the zone of all the mobs as the items needed for the collect are pre-planted on the mobs currently in the zone. The mobs do repop. and the named spawns in the back of the zone and will drop your finnal pice)

Mission 2: The Burning Prince
Tip (The 5 priests are in the towers around the zone, after the 5th dies, a named spawns in the areana in the center of the zone. This named is not that hard on the tank, but it dose cast a dot on everyone in the group this dot tic's at around 300ph a tic. and when it wares off it hits you with a 8k DD RC, and RGC will remove it. I would have 1 person desinated to remove this curse, the tank shouldn't need it removed untill the named is dead, as it continues to recast on the MT so he would never get the 8k DD till named dies.)

Mission 3: Message to the Past
Tip (2 of the items needed are in chests at the top of 2 of the 3 towers closest to the zone in, named is in a tower of the Main building up in one of the towers. Kill everthing on the way to the named don't leave trash at the bottom of the named's tower or the Named will get heals)

Take the Twisted Charm back to Arch Mage Geslin, hail him, follow the text, and hand in the Twisted Charm. He will prompt you with [solution]. Say solution to get the AA (similar to DoD flag) or you may get bugged later. He will hand back the twisted chime plus another. Take those chimes to Queen Tak'Yaliz in North Ro, near the South Ro zone line in a tower. She will not speak to you unless you have completed the 70th level Aura line. The Aura starts with Tak Velakorn in North ro. Someone please post some info on those. Upon turn in, you will receive a Twisted Harmonic Chime. Again, head to Arch Mage Geslin in Arcstone and follow his text. You will get a chime that will port you to the Theatre of Blood

I don't know maybe it is just me but it seems your post for submission is rather lacking. All you say about the main fights is the guy is a wimp or he isn't hard on the tank. Well what kind of tank did you have because the difference in difficulty between say a time tank and an anguish tank is rather steep. I think your strat needs more information like does it flurry, ramp, enrage, how hard does it hit with def. disc and without. Because to me without the knowledge of what you are really looking at in the fight you could have more that easily copy and pasted random stuff from all over the web. That is just my thought on it though. If I was you and I was seriously trying to get access to the forums I would put more detail into the walkthrough. Sorry if I sound rude or whatnot, but I think it needs a bit of fine tuning to stand a chance, but good luck.

It occurs to me that CGank and TSwitch could trivialize some of that stuff.
 
just a FYI.. you do not actually NEED "saga skins" and "becoming the vessel" for your ToB key, if you can find someone that has done them and is able to get the samples of corruption task for you.

You still need the vessel task for razorthorn access, though.
 
A little tip for part 2. The Creeper types and other's will not aggro you for hitting eggs. the only way you'll get attacked is if you hit a mob down there, or are too close to edge and range aggro.

What this means is, stay in center room, you never have to leave that spot. From here you can cycle target to get the eggs, they are lvl 51 if I remember right, about 1200 pt nuke kills em everytime. Or ya can bow shoot the eggs or however ya wanna do it. This mission is soloable by any class that can attack from 150ish ticks away. There are 2 rooms from the first teleport up with eggs in them, the 3rd is a bit tricky if ya get to that point. If ya don;t get piece and don;t mind warping, you can /tar 51, /warp target when ya see room is clear and a single PBAE 1100 + will kill them all and get you drop. Down side to this of course is, once eggs die and mobs in eggs pop, you will be instakilled pretty much, as it spawns about 8 lvl 72 mobs to pound on ya lol.

Hope this helps. Oh yeah, also for boss fights etc., think DoD in terms of long missions involvging turn ins that get returned etc. I haven;t confirmed yet, but buddy told me after goin through them, if one person is willing ot repeat, and doesn;t destroy the items, it becomes really basic as ya already have item lol. Similar to the good ole Tipt Trials death to hold key for KT flaggin hehe.

More difficult. One of the two casts AOE knockback off the platform. There are adds that spawn all around. You used to be able to pull named away and kill in a safer place now you cannot. Basicly you now have to burn through the named loot and exodus/succor.

200 range spell does you no good now.. they will aggro you before you can cast.
 
Nope they aggro at range 90, I have done this a few times, the first time I was using a range 100 Nuke on my bard then after wiped I switched to a range 200 DoT on just the eggs
