Intuk'ta cursecaller part (1 Viewer)

On the Inktu'ta instanced expedition. I found a little strat that works for the cursecaller part. There are 4 major parts to this expedition

1. Kelekdrix, Herald of Trushar fight
2. The stonemites
3. The cursecallers
4. Noqufiel

For Kelekdrix first you must clear as much of the trash as you can. http://eqbeastiary.allakhazam.com/search.shtml?id=15234 this will take you to the effects used. We usually set up in the throne room behind the throne in the corner. His AOEs are nasty as well as his servants. Make sure you clerics are at full mana before you engage this part they wont attack as long as you stay behind the throne. Pretty straight forward on the way to kill them make sure you have at least 4 good tanks. We usually pop infusion before to avoid the AOEs (helps a little). Cold and fire is checked for saves is what I hear. Kelekdrix only becomes targetable after you kill each of his servants. So kill one then engage him till he becomes untargetable then engage next. Rinse repeat.

After he is down we med up a bit, rez, and rebuff. Then we go forward and tanks drop down through the floor and engage the named down there. Wait one second then everyone else goes. Get out of the cubby ASAP. It triggers a trap that hits the raid. And the bones do to. Rouges do your thing and get those traps disarmed. After he is down make sure to stay out of the middle of that room. It’s a trap too. Then kill the two golems at the door. They won’t engage till you try to open the door. The next part is the stonemites. They pop on you as you venture the halls. There are 5 spots you have to go to and at least 8 people have to be in each room. At this point you tell the NPCs (depends on what loot you want) a phrase.

After all the NPCs are told the phrase at the same time (spelling is important) you recon verge together for the next area. Just kill all the golems. To get to the cursecaller part. This is where the trick is. (at least one part of this can be easy)

The cursecallers will deathtouch someone randomly and that’s what makes this so hard. Well we discovered that if everyone stays at the top of the stairs where the golems once were then have some run in and trigger the event. Then use HOTT to determine which person is targeted(or the emote you get). The cursecallers will not go to the stairs cause of leash. They will not change targets either. So keep those 6 people at the stairs and everyone rush in and kill everything in the room. Now as each curse caller is taken down that person that was on that deathtouch can run down and help the raid.

The last part is noqufiel. There is two forms of him in the next room. We set up the healers outside the door. The rest inside the door. We have one group that works independent of the raid. These guys are known as the suicide squad. They take care of everything to the right. Cursecallers , deathbringers and other assorted mobs. (ive never been on this squad so don’t know all the details) All I do know is they cant cross the golem. The rest of the raid has to pay attention now. Two tanks engage the 2 forms of noquifel. Put each form in a corner by the door. Make a hot key that says /rsay This is not the true form DO NOT ATTACK!!!! (or /1 or /say depends on what channel you use to talk in.) next line /attack off (so you don’t make false form go boom) next line /pet hold (if you have a pet) next line /pet back off (also for pet) If you a caster one pf those lines /sit on ( too sit and stop casting) Now of course you have a /assist button made up. Make sure you are on the MT’s mob then after 5% or so of it healt both mobs will turn into either True image of noquifel or Mirror image of noquifel. If it is the mirror image of noquifel then hit that hotbutton you just made. If you do 1% damange to the mirror image it shatters and hits raid for like 5 k. If it’s the true form then wack away for another 5% rinse repeat. The healers will keep the door open for heals but usually wont get hit by the AOE. There is more to this of course but I found that you can take little breaks during this last fight. Usually we let him regen 4% to rez and rebuff and med. Well sorry this is so long

I wrote this for the cursecaller part to help you out, and please feel free to add to this strat.

well, the people that are about to get DTed, get an emote in yellow text in the cursecaller part

i dunno what your suicide squad does either, but if you have all the pet classes assist the DT mobs in the noquifel part, they can put their pet on them and burn them down pretty fast, just /rs RUN %T..then /rs omg u r teh safe!

Those 4 are the MAJOR fights, but there are still a few fights that aren't mentioned that need attention, also missing some important details in some areas.

1. The fight will take place inside a bit, have everyone stay as close to the back wall as possible, and get group heals ready, these mobs AE like nuts. Here is a picture of the area -- Nijacka The Scourge is usually in this area. Looks like this : Hallway Shot

2. Next just train to the big room where Kelekdrix, Herald of Trushar takes places, kill everything in there and the train you brought there, then move the raid to the cubby on the right side. BUT FIRST - move a rogue to the PIT area, and all he is doing is sensing/disarming traps there. Picture of the area this fight takes place in : http://everquest.allakhazam.com/scenery/inktuta-throne.jpg

2a. Next you need to have at least one mage in raid so he can COTH the tanks back when they get banished to where to Rogue is. Have each tank make a hotkey that says what group they are in so the mage can be swapped there to COTH them back. Very important that when they do get banished they dont wander or they will kill the ROGUE that is disarming and themselves (mobs are nearby). Picture of the pit area where rogue will be nearby :http://everquest.allakhazam.com/scenery/inktuta-crypt.jpg

3. After Kelekdrix, everyone moves to where the rogue is, and then you take on Mimezpo the Oracle and all the adds there. *IMPORTANT* No one should wander here, and have a team of BARDS and ROGUES to SENSE and DISARM TRAPS from this point till stonemites part is done.

3a. After Mimezpo, have a rogue trigger the next even by openning the door. The 2 golems will become active, have 1 tank on each. One Flurries, the other Rampages (if I remember right). Not a hard fight.

4. The Stonemites from Hell. The traps here are nasty and so are the amounts of Stonesmites. Make 3 equally distributed groups, there MUST be at least 1-2 people that can disable traps in each, and good division of tanks and healers. One goes to the first room on the right, the next goes to the second room that is near the Monoliths, and the 3rd goes to another room that is down the hall. kill stonemites, until there are none then each area has to say the phrase to the npc in the room and that ends that.

5. Monoliths are nasty. Have a rogue trigger a set of them 2 at a time by walking down till he sees an emote, if you hear more than 1 emote you triggered too many. Kill the monoliths. These Rampage like nuts, whatever you do try to separate them as best you can.

** not 100% on this part** have a rogue intercept the DT that Jomica is about to get from a cursecaller down at the bottom -- never figured out why, but.

5a. 3-4 more minis. These are simple beat down.

6. Cursecallers. You want Pets on each of the 6 areas where the mobs are, so spread them out. Raid will kill Counter-clockwise, but if you get DT emote, run clockwise. Open a NEW chat window, filter out other to go there -- this way you see the emote 100%. Once the mobs are targetable everyone unloads ASAP every disc they can (you might die to use em before ya lose em). KILL KILL KILL. Have a team of pallies and clerics rez people as best they ca, and dont worry about buffs just get rezzed. Fun event as you get DT'd for 32k.

7. Noqufiel. Heck 1/2 of the time, especially with Anguish geared guilds we would just take the 4k damage sometimes, but of course you want to avoid it. There are DT'ers that run through this, but this time casters can nuke them, and you want a team where they spawn just doing that, kill them soon as you see them. Of course continue to filter out the DT with the new chat window from before. Actually ends up being a pretty fast fight if everyone pays attention.

Have not done this fight in ages, I try to avoid it when we backflag so if I missed anything....

the monoliths are pretty easy to split so we normally just have monks run down and trigger and work the splits, they arnt really that big of a deal imo..but they DO hit like a train (not a truck, a train)

and on the Jomica part, you can usually just have a ranger kill the DTer, but this is part of the script to save him, it changes the loot you get at the end

oh and you want 4 groups when you split up at the stonemite part, and you need atleast 6 people in each part to say the phrase, when you are done, you'll want group 1 to move to the south west, group 2, south east, group 3 north east, and group 4 north west, when your done, with the phrase part, group 3 jumps down, and moves to 4, they move to 1, and everyone meets at 2, collect your reward from the bones

I was just talking about the curse caller part. Its trivial at best. We have 0 deaths during this part. We used to run counterclockwise to but way too many deaths

um we tried this standing on stairs part. i was one with emote... instead of being safe the curse callers just started running fast when they got out of room and came a dt'd me. so seems they are no longer leashed..... anyone else have this happen?

If you have the emote you CAN NOT MOVE. Do not sit, stand, turn, cast, nothing. Sit the raid at the very top of the steps as far against the wall as they can get, everybody standing. There will be 6 emotes handed out so know who those people are and have them go afk. The cursecallers won't even leave the room they spawn in. The rest of the raid can go down and wipe out the yellow cons.

If you move at all the DT'ers will then track your ass down kill you and another will spawn, pick up another target and keep going. If the first 6 just go afk the DT'ers won't even move.

I thought so. I went afk after i got emote, and got me some food. I was at the top by the wall too. I have only done this part once.

Quick question tho. ive done this instanced 3 times. 2 of the times it LD everyone in the raid after the stonemites part.

We say the saying at the 4 rooms and then try to group back up, and bamm everyone link dead to the character select screen.

then you log back in and you are outside in qvic. Then we try to get back in and locked out for 2 hrs. Anyone else had an entire traid go ld? i wonder what could cause this?

6 people on DT hott, we told them to AFK and come back in 10 mins - cakewalk, confirmed Feb 25, 06
