Keep Pets w/ shroud, use mount in shroud form.

This is a little trick I found out by accident when on my shaman. I don't know if it's been mentioned in the forums before, but I'll say it anyway.

I summoned my shaman's pet, and went to shroud form during the halloween event, and just camped as shroud form when I was done with what I was doing, I came back the next day and unshrouded, pet was still there. I've confirmed this also works with no rent/temporary items as well. So if you have something important you want to keep (since the corpse trick no longer works to my knowledge), just camp in shroud form. Make sure these items are not on your shroud, but on your actual character, not in the bank either.

Also, if you want to use a mount in shroud form, just use the bank to hold your mount, go shroud and take it out of the bank, then use any illusion item that's clickable from inventory for any class/race, (I.E Potions, Crown of Deceit, etc) and use that when you're ready to use your mount, it will turn you into that model, but make sure you have your character models on for that race, then go ahead and use your mount (they ARE clickable from inventory) Have not confirmed if it works with skeleton wizard shroud yet though naturally.

You can also keep your pet fully buffed with pet kits and such if you go into shroud and then log out. Shroud form is so broken.

nice, i will have to use it for the pet. i hate summoning my pets day after day lol

I already posted this right after DoD came out. They have updated this however. No Rent / Temporary items now poof after you have logged for 30 min+. I tested this several times with various summoned items.

This will be so useful for my Mage, no more summoning pet weapons!, well until he dies. BUt still, saves me time every time i play him. Thanks!

Temp items and such poof normally after 30 minutes....even w/o shroud.

It has been a while since I tried with no rent/temporary items, so it could have very well been patched in since I tried it, so that part has been nerfed I suppose, pets still work however for me at least.

If anyone can check to see if the pet trick works with suspend animation, that would be great. My shaman's not high enough level to do it himself yet, but if you're able to buff your pet, suspend it, and get a new pet ready after camping, would be great to have a pet already buffed for a lot of raids.

tested today and worked. Logged out on bst while shrouded. Pet was fully buffed with mage summoned weapons and armor on. Logged back in 6 hours later and the pet still had the weapons and stuff. I know he had to have them since I saw alot of "your pet's will is not strong enough to proc this weapon" or whatever it says lol. It was a lvl 70 mage that summoned them for the pet and I am alot lower lvl. So the temp stuff stayed there, at least on the pet it did.

yep. The pet equiped items will stay. However, if you have summoned items in your inventory they will poof after 30 min. When you shroud your pet's current state is saved then restored after un-shrouding. The weapons are part of it's state, just like buffs.

This is definately a nice way to keep from losing a nicely buffed pet though, no arguments there.
