I've been banned 4 times in the last 24 hours and I have come up with a hilarious system for dumping items off of about to be banned accounts.

The first time I was banned I was just booted to server select and I was able to log back in, but the second round an hour or so ago I knew it was coming. Lydrea popped in next to me and immediately, I alt tabbed out and booted up another copy of EQ and logged into my account before it was suspended. I then talked to her and she booted me out of game and immediately, from the other box I had sitting at server select, I logged into my server and sat at character select and I'm there now waiting for about another 30 minutes and then I'm going to log onto my char there, and transfer items to a friend's account.

So, here is the process:
1) Get tell from GM
2) Open another copy of EverQuest as soon as possible
3) Log into your account before it's suspended or banned
4) As soon as you're booted from world, log into your server
5) Wait a little while at server select for the coast to clear, OR log into an alt
6) Transfer plat and droppables off
7) Do an irish jig to signify your success over incompetence at SoE.
 
You know, its a neat trick, but you wouldn't need it if you'd STOP getting accounts BANNED ;)

But then why would he write super undetectable plugins?
 
I think it had more to do with stuff I did before my account was created.

When a GM sends you a tell saying, "Hello <Your Old Character's Name>" it kind of clues you in :/

LOTs of people are getting banned because of afk macros. And some certain zones people liked to hack in are now watched due to afk macroers so once GMS are done banning all the afk exp people eq should be nice again for 6 months or so intill a new macro goes public then bans start again. I am glad I cancel my subscription to this site maybe I wont ge banned anymore infact this site has been good preventing bans anything I see go up on this site I DONT DO because GMs are watching and youl be banned if you do any macro from this site k?
 
Nice idea, don't log onto an alternate character, and I will give you one reason why. Each account is tagged with an ID, and when you log onto a character, they are able to do a /who <tag id> and see that you're on the account. The chances of them making sure you didn't get past the system is pretty much hopeless, but just incase.
 
that and your ip address and mac address list goes on and on sure you can tunnel and mac spoof but they will get you in the end.
 
The point is, they don't care to check 95% of the time because you SHOULD be banned. Why check if they JUST booted you?
 
what macros were you running that got you banned in the first place? and what zone were you in?
 
I will say in TPs defence that sometimes accounts get banned "testing" those uber plugins. Or maybe they just know him now lol. There are prolly 5 guys in a black van outside TP's house taping in....now where is my tin foil hat.
 
If you've been on IRC, you know why I'm banned. Why the fuck are we talking about why I'm banned anyway?
 
Well, obviously, because peeps want to know what NOT to do for a while.

one of my accounts got suspended a while back, but I caught the e-mail before i logged off for the night, so I ended up staying logged in and playing thru the entire time i was supposed to be suspended. hehe

of course it's a bit different when they forcefully drop u off the server =P
 
One day I will be as uber as TP :D Nice to know you are still fucking Sony lol.
 
Colbalt doesnt like the idea of people thinking TP holds all the trumps evedentally. Lollers.

I actually find this fascinating :) You irritate me to the point that you are on my ignore on IRC but the power you hold is just incredible, there's something about the way you play people that makes them completely blind, it's great. You should really keep it up, you might become some type of director in the future and your subordinates will worship you no matter what you do.
 
TP - I had a dream last night that I was banned just like you and we were both riding in a hot car laughing at SONY for being so pathic. After that we went to a bar, met two hot women, and after we bang them, we found out they were the wives of two high up executives from SONY.... WOOT, High Five dude!!!!

PS. In the dream you sent me a email telling me why you got banned, and I gave you my word as a father I would never let anyone know.

Huh? I have nothing against TP personally, do I agree with what he says, not always. I just find all this idolizing nauseating, thus the /puke comment.

Show me the trick they use to log your mac address, Please.
What? You can't?
Read up on networking, please, before you say stuff like that.

The only possible way they can find and log your mac address, is by having some process of doing it directly in the client, then transmitting that information to their servers. But that goes against the law as far as I know, since by clicking "Agree" you are not accepting that they should be allowed to transmit details about your system to their servers.

Nice trick, TP. You just need to hope you actually get a /tell or some warning.

Been suspended 5 times now on 5 different accts and never once did I get a warning. In fact, I didn't even get the email till an hour or more after I was locked out.

Yes. Since when did EverQuest become a Blizzard game?

Warden is "known" to all and is, as far as I can recall, mentioned in the EULA/TOS. Even then we're talking about a clientside program that is capable of logging the mac address. You can't look over your server logs (unless your client specifically sends mac addresses to the server) and then find the mac address of a computer connected to the internet somewhere behind a few hundred routers.

Simply put, mac addresses are not routed. :)
 
Yeah I know they aren't routed but my point is that Blizzard's Warden sniffs _everything_ on your system. The point is though that if you agree to something in the EULA/TOS they can do it to you. If they say in the EULA that John Smedley may or may not engage in casual anal sex with you in game, he damn well could do it.
 
I was recently banned for a week, didnt know i was banned for a week till the week was up and my gf told me my acct was active again. Never ever got an email or a GM talk to me, still dont know why I was banned. Not that I'm 100% innocent mind you but info is key.

So I emailed sony, they said to call, i called and they said to email. i emailed and they said to call, i called and they said talk to an in game GM, i couldn't log in to talk to one...
