I recently powerleveled a shaman from 1-67 in about a weeks time, and once I got to 67 realized that his defense was still 13. This was a major pita, but he was my 4th box ..(war clr sham necro) is my box grp ..I don't use macroquest, I use my own program that I wrote to automate all my stuff since its undetectable by soe since nobody but me has a copy (I'm a software engineer for a living, so writing a program to automate eq was fairly trivial for what I wanted to do) ..anyway ..on to the pleveling of defense.
Some probably already know this, but for the people that don't
You can use a dark blue player pet to powerlevel your defense skill.
I took my necro, set it to duel my shammy and sicked the pet on him.
I then had my cleric keep a constant heal over time on the shammy,
I also had to set my necro to keep sicking the pet every few minutes, since for some reason the pet eventually just stopped attacking and would just sit there, not a problem if you just /pet attack every couple minutes ..it resets the timer on the attack behavior or somthing..
Also, if you are on a mount ..you will not get knocked back by the pet ..if you care.. plus it helps mana regen.
And I had my shammy and warrior sit there and train the group on all the languages they needed maxed ...that rare languages charm u get in wos is actually pretty good with all the rare langs maxed btw (66 hp/mana and stats) ..with slipgear its 111 hp/mana charm + resists and stats..
Using this method ..I was able to afk all night and have my defense maxed when I woke up... started out at 13....
