It never even crossed my mind to assign the puller group role, I simply assumed since i had "start pulls" active that it would take that into consideration. You know what they say about assumptions! 😭 This makes a lot more sense, with the puller group role assigned bard is acting more as expected.

Yes that appears to be the case, as soon as the AA was unlocked the downtime routine used the AA to cast Pack, so it just didn't have a failsafe to attempt using a spell gem to cast. edit: I check for updates before every time I launch, in general its a fresh install from maybe two weeks ago?
